2.25 Ascot - Le Breuil - 7/1 Absolutely love this horse, has some great form to his name mainly beating Benetar last March and ran well trying to give Black Ivory over a stone which obv now looks impossible! Is a great front runner who once gets in a rythym will be extremely hard to get passed
This is our "big discussion" horse at work Woolly as Pauling has spent months telling anyone who will listen that he is the best handicapped horse in the yard. So far this season he has twice had to find excuses for the animal, the last time he shouldnt have let him carry so much weight on such testing ground. The yard is also in absolutely dire form without a winner in the last fortnight. You may or may not be aware but the yard is pretty much in lockdown as most of the horses have runny noses and you can see from the entries that most are staying at home. Like you I love the horse but I think he should carry a wealth warning tomorrow.
This is the one race out of the scoop 6 races that i've been agonising over and just can't make my mind up on. I narrowed it down to Jenkins, Oxwich Bay and Le Breuil. I'm ruling out one of the favourites in Crossed My Mind, although its run against some decent horses i'm not entirely convinced about the form and the trip is a bit of an unknown. Jenkins, won well last time out, James Bowen is up,who is a jockey going places and who has a good strike rate riding for Nicky Henderson. Its also his only ride of the day. Oxwich Bay is a model of consistency and again has a very capable young man aboard who takes off 5 pounds, however Evan Williams horses always seem a bit sketchy with their jumping which is an obvious concern. Then there's Le Breuil, on the face of it the form looks good and the horse looks a good one, Pauling is a good trainer, although in poor form and although not to everyones liking Daryl Jacob is a more than capable jockey. I came on here for inspiration, saw Wooly's post and thought, right thats it mind made up Le Breuil it is. Then i see Sticks post and think ah **** maybe not. Now i think i'm back to square one.
good luck with your choices in that ascot race , i've put nick williams one in an ew lucky 15 the peter marsh at haddock looks as compteteive as ever , i'm loathe to desert Captain Redbeard but think Forest des Aigles is better handicapped . Bruichaddich in the last , form of his last race working out 8/1 seems a generous price Don't i miss Djin Conti at taunton 5/2 , another french import harry whittington lets loose
Haydock 2.40pm Ch'tibello 7/4 win. This is the stand out bet for me tomorrow. Will wait until morning when odds might be better. Has won round Haydock in heavy going and was only 1 and 3/4 lengths behind the New One at Cheltenham in the International . That was his first run in 10 months and he didn't get the best of runs that day either when jockey tried to go up the inside rail losing a bit of impetus. I can see him running a big race here, is getting the 6lbs again and he will put himself right in to the Champion Hurdle picture with a decisive victory. The New One will be outpaced promoting connections to make the decision that the 'Stayers Hurdle' it is...
That is a worrying thing I know- barters Hill was due to make his comeback this weekend but hasn’t which I take it is due to the dire form/Virus going down the yard but the fact he runs him is surely imo is a sign of the form of the horse he must be showing something at home and all these things must come to an end I agree about the weight carrying howver no one knew the form or how good black Ivory was at the price I’m willing to give him a go
I was looking at that race and wondering if there was some value. Lisdoonvarna Lad takes a massive hike in class but was very impressive last time when beating a horse I quite like. The fact you fancy one means I should keep the powder dry.
Surely Waterlord looks the most likeliest winner! If one horse is going to run in the supreme it will be him, he will surely love the heavy ground , doesn’t he have an entry to the betfair hurdle too? Reading reports the stable rate him very highly and is the only winner in my eyes
Le Breuil was also my initial thought for this tricky race, then Night Of Sin, and finally decided to chance the unknowns around Crossed My Mind and assumed the connections know what they are doing (not always a wise assumption!) I'm liking a couple of longshots as decent ew bets .... 3.00 Ascot Fortunate George currently 14-1 - bottom weight and if he recreates his run last but one run over C & D he has a massive chance. Only 9 runners however and one is already likely to be missing. And at Haydock in the Peter Marsh, I feel that Knockanrawley - another bottom weight - will finally come good for Kim Bailey. He has been fav in his last four races without obliging, though he has put in some decent runs, none more so than last time and again at a juicy looking 14-1 he looks solid for a place at least. UDS looks nailed on in the Clarence House but is priced up accordingly. Good luck all
He will relish the ground for sure, I was there when he won in that bog at Haydock last time. I reckon the whole of the North West was on him that day! The third has given the form anice little boost since too. Michael runs EMBANKMENT at Lingfield tomorrow and he is 20/1. He won off a higher mark than this last year and the car park will not inconvenience him as he will most likely give the others the usual head start. EW shout.
Scoop 6/Lucky 63: 12:55 Haydock - Chozen 2:25 Ascot - Jenkins 3:00 Ascot - Fortunate George 3:15 Haydock - Yala Enki 4:10 Lingfield - Strategic Heights 4:15 Haydock - Apollo Creed
wouldnt say I fancy it strongly, just the price jumped out at me as being too big, 2m novice on bottomless ground, wouldnt rule any of them out
Hi guys...Been a bit busy to get involved but MOWHOOB is well overpriced at 12s Chelmsford 8.15...looking at the rest of the cards i could fancy a few but there is scant value on offer...so i'm no playing.
