If people are getting that from SaintsWeb, the guy posting it is trolling.

Anyone who thinks Les is going to hang for this, without trying to weasel out by moving his son on first is mad. Still, baby steps and all that.

The best thing Pards did wuth Rickie was towards the end of his first season asked him to lift his shirt and called him a ****ing disgrace.

Seems pretty clear from press conference that Promes is a definite target and potentially a better signing than Walcott. Honestly can’t argue with the club backing off if wages were an issue with

Bored so was reading this old thread about Nigel Adkins when he first came. Sounded familiar to me somehow........

Typical post 'Manager with no passion and is waaaay too nice (or so it seems) to be able to inspire these players. We seem to bottle it so f*cking easily, that's ALL down to the manager. Adkins is being pulled along by the talent of the squad. He is out of his depth.' :emoticon-0138-think

An enjoyable read (with hindsight). Shows a lot of fans up for what they are - just fans who feel passionate about their club and want instant success needing someone to blame when it doesn’t happen. Who knows. Maybe we are on the cusp of something exciting like we were back then ;-)

With respect Nige's win percentage was never as pathetically low as 20% and a lot of the time it was up to around 70%

I loved NA, but his win ratio in the PL was something like 5 wins out of 22 games which is pretty much where we're at now... In fact when he was sacked (5 years ago this week) we had 1 more point than we do now.

As it turned out Poch was far better than Nigel, but of course we don't know if Nigel would have got better with experience. His subsequent career would suggest not, but then he hasn't had players to work with as good as those at Saints. I still believe that he should have got longer as a reward, but that's the sentimental side of me.
