http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/pacheco-loan-deal-confirmed Shame we didnt see more of him but presume he will stay in spain at the end of the loan agreement now.
Hope he improves enough to come back and be able to compete for a first team place but I don't think he will. Hopefully he will at least impress enough to hold some kind of transfer fee.
This isn't Rafa... it is not the kiss of death- it is merely a loan. That said, I don't think anyone is as disappointed as they would have been last year this time anyway at losing him.
I'm afraid this is the kiss of death. Why loan a player to Spain when it's PL experience that we need? Why loan out a player again when he returned after a good loan spell? Because he won't be coming back. This will be a try-before-you-buy. He certainly won't be missed.
Dumb cluck!! He has been given a chance and never turned them into promising performances at first team level. Perhaps a return to spain is exactly what the lad needs. Good luck to him.
I am happy that you seem to regard him highly, the deal is that you loan him to us and then we do likewise to Rayo. It is reported that we have the option to purchase him for 2 million euro's at the end of the season so if he doesn't impress he will go back to you, although reading some of your comments and previous comments on the boy, he should be special. Good luck for the season!
Surprised he wasnt loaned to one of the lower PL teams, the likes of Fulham are crying out for a striker.
La Perla I have heard rumours about athletico loaning him out to Rayo was wondering why the deal has been done that way seems very strange.
Perhaps- although would he be better getting experience in Spanish top flight or a lesser English division? Would he get many games at a lower prem club like Fulham?
Muppetfinder General. I tend to agree with you. Its English league experience he needs, and he's gone to Spain on loan, it can only mean two things, he wants out and he wants an eventual return to Spain. I find that understandable.
Hope he does well. Although i would of preferred him to go to a premierleague club. I guess this means goodbye Pacheco
Because we are apparently close to signing Diego Ribas so Pacheco won't get many games there(we also have other players in that position) Falcao up front with decent back up and the wings are covered with Reyes and Arda Turan so there is no space for him in the first 11. There is also no point in him moving from your reserves to our reserves so we have loaned him to Rayo to see how well he performs in La Liga (he is likely to play there as they have only just been promoted). If he plays well then we have the option to buy him for cheap, if he doesn't then he will return to you and we have spent no money. We have done this with a few players this season
You don't even support Liverpool so you clearly don't watch the reserve matches. Pacheco is not the most consistent player, actaully he is probably one of the most inconsistent But when he does play well he is electric. Usually has a very mixed season and certainly isn't good enough at the moment to play for the first team.
Sorry but it is not the kiss of death for me. He's only 20 and Kenny most likely wants him to get 1st team experience at a high level to nurture him for when he returns. If we are to push for a CL spot this season then a young attacking player such as Pacheco will not get much of a chance for us this year. To me it doesn't matter if he gets that experience in Spain or in the PL, it is still a high level and we can see how he performs/grows over the course of the season. Yes, he may want to stay in Spain but what is the point in jumping to conclusions just because a deal has been done? Wakka you're just an idiot, Flanno was given a chance because that was the only option we had at RB and he did it well. Then again you know nothing about football.
**** off Wakka you're not even any good at wumming. Perhaps you could learn something from the experienced ArabianExpat/Lettuce.
We may never know how much wakka knows about football because his sole aim is to cause controversy by going against the prevailing opinion. For me, despite Pacheco's obvious talent, he's always looked like a boy amongst men in the first team. He's young, so perhaps further loans might bring him on to the standard we need. My gut feeling is that he won't make it with us, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
