A slightly different comparison, Lacazette has hardly set the world on fire, and Giroud is ahead of him in the France national team. Right now i would have a fully fit Giroud in our team ahead of Lacazette.
Lacazette is 10x the player Giroud will ever be. He hasn't set the world on fire because he has been reduced to sub appearances, or getting subbed during matches. He must be wondering who he has to suck off to get 90 minutes at Arsenal.
Depending on the game I can see why Giroud would get games and also he works well as a sub in games when we need to try something different. I'd hope with Aubameyang the difference in quality to Iwobi would be big enough that Wenger would play him.
The only thing i would worry about is Wenger playing favourites. We know in the past the likes of lucas perez and joel campbell never got a chance even if they played well instead wenger settling on the likes of iwobi, walcott and the ox or whoever he fancied. If wenger chooses to be stubborn which he could be, he might still stick with iwobi and ozil with lacazette up top (or even welbeck)
If we got Aubameyang and he wasn't made first choice, it would be suicide from Wenger's point of view. One of the best strikers in the world and he's benching him lol. Though i wouldn't put it past him trying.
As usual things that looked too good to be true really were just that. It seems we are highly unlikely to sign all three of mkhitaryan aubameyang and Malcolm... Mkhitaryan /Sanchez deal is a straight swap...which makes me not as excited. I wanted some money with that deal too. And mkhitaryan is demanding huge wages as well apparently. Could see that one collapse...
to be fair its not that bad. Mkhitaryan lost some form but he doesnt fit the rigid play united have. What would mkhi fetch in this market, you think the likes of Theo Walcott is going for 20m, Cenk Tosan at 27m, and VVD going for 75m. We even paid 15m for barkley which was a "BARGAIN". I wouldn't trust Wenger with 35m to bring in another xhaka (which is probably 50m in todays market)
Its okay if you consider that Sanchez has 5 months on his contract. But I do not rate Mkhi at all, been a big disappointment. Dont see him fitting in with Arsenal either.
what you on about, he'd fit in perfect, another powerpuff playmaker. All seriousness though have you seen them play recently, they have 0 creativity and goal threat from their players
Mkhitarian is a wierd one. That last Season at Dortmund he scored 23 goals and got 18 assists! He's inconsistent as they come. Ability is there though.
Miki would be a risk as he's not going to track back at all, you are going like for like and it's not working at the moment so why make that deal? The balance in the Arsenal team is the problem teams can just get at your midfield.
Yep, none of the potential signings being lined up address the weakness in our midfield, which teams cut through like butter sometimes. Hoping that in the summer. Mislintat will address our defensive midfield weakness, but for this window, it looks like Walcott and Sanchez out, so two attacking players coming in would be great. Hopefully Aubameyang (who would be a top class signing) and Malcolm. Unsure about Mkhitaryan. He's got the skill, but has he got the gumption for the PL ? Not as Utd so far, but I'd be happy to be proved wrong if he came to Arsenal.
Lacazette and Giroud are good forwards do you really need Aubameyang? I don't think you have a striker problem you have a system and manager problem. Adding a 29 year old striker is a short term fix, big name to make the fans excited but not what you need.
Aubameyang is 28 and yes we could use another striker, especially as Giroud is rumoured to be part of the deal to go to Dortmund. We still need to address a couple of other key areas as mentioned. DM and ACM, because Cazorla doesn't look like he's coming back any time soon. Mkhitaryan could be that player ...
29 in June. I agree on Miki he's a decent replacement but he doesn't work unless you sort out what's ****ed behind him. Wenger has made a mess.
