  4. I will celebrate Stoke’s exit from the Prem in the same way that I celebrated Wimbledon’s demise.

    Good riddance to bad trash.

Arsenal Football Club are planning to put on a special performance of the musical 'Oliver' this January...

...after getting his 'derisory' new contract offer, Jack Wilshire, will be doing this bit...

Theo's offered to reprise these favourites...

Alexis Sanchez is prepared to do this number if he's paid enough...

Finally, Mr Wenger's been left with this heartbreaker...

I love a good musical. This one could run and run....unlike Jack.

Antonio Conte has just been asked if Chelsea are trying to sign Alexis Sanchez.

He said: "I don't know but I don't think so."

Wenger did say the other day that the Sanchez saga
would be resolved in the "next 48 hrs" . So the
    current status is :

    - Citeh : he costs too much ( <rofl> )
    - Chelsky : is he being signed ?? who knows ??
    - Man Utd : ...

And Morata was worried about playing back-up
to Kane if he came to Spurs.

I said they tried,I didn't say they succeeded. They don't have the top teams resources. We do and haven't bothered, still thinking of the PL championship and not much else.....and we keep missing out on that competition.Has the bell rung finally. Is Poch going to take the cup comps seriously now?

Stoke often have nothing else on, though.
They're normally clear of relegation and well behind European places when the FA Cup starts.
They're playing less often than we are and aren't risking anything by fielding their first XI. They still fail.

I often don't agree with aspects of our approach to the domestic cup competitions, but I can understand it.
Pochettino could focus on them, still not win one and then get the sack for our league form dropping.
It's not ideal, by any means, but I'm not sure that I'd do it any differently if I were in his position.
Apart from starting Son at left-back, of course. That's just stupid.

Assuming the Walclot signing with Everton goes through, I think they're being a bit greedy.
They've already got the real Aaron Lennon.
Now they're getting the s**t one as well!!!

Still not signed Sanchez, then? Don't worry, it won't be long until he's gone.
There can be only one Sanchez in London. :emoticon-0165-muscl

Well, Mino Raiola is all over it, so there will be plenty of brown envelopes being passed around.
But it all seems to depend on whether the Irishman Mickey Taryan wants to join Arsenal.

I believe success breeds success, not in Arsenal's case of course!
I couldn't imagine for one minute,Bill Nick not bothering in any competition.I guess my generation sees things much different!

Raiola sees Sanchez as the makeweight in the Armenian's transfer to the Gooners. They say that 'perception is everything'....and in this case, that's gonna cost someone...... a lot. <laugh>

I completely agree about success breeding success. Mourinho grabs the first bit of silverware that he can whenever he joins a new club.
It helps to create a winning mentality and gets players used to big occasions and pressure.

Bill Nicholson had the right approach to the game for the time and cups were seen differently.
Pochettino could learn a lot from him, obviously, but like it or not the game has changed.
Managers are replaced more often, while matches are both much quicker and more frequent.

The fans want to win silverware of any description, but most managers simply can't take that risk, especially when it still might not work.
Very few clubs have managed to break the stranglehold that a handful of clubs have on the English trophies in recent years.
Wigan, Swansea, Portsmouth, Birmingham and Boro have done it and only one of them's still in the top flight.
Martinez, Redknapp, Laudrup, McLeish and McClaren have had mixed careers since, but none of them are currently in the Premier League.
