Sunday 21 January 16:00 Southampton v Tottenham Hotspur Referee: Kevin Friend Assistants: Harry Lennard, Matthew Wilkes Fourth official: Graham Scott Where are your friends when you need them the most?
Spurs have dropped points against lower clubs this season, however they have the ability to score a couple really quickly and then let the other team chase after the ball for 30 minutes
If they had any idea what working overtime with higher rate meant (jam instead of just dripping)then they just might put up a fight. I' m travelling down but **** knows why,I can' t convince my missus that I haven't completely lost my marbles. Come to think of it nor can I.
Sorry Roy, can't vouch for your sanity mate - or my own. But maybe, just maybe, we'll both go home grinning from ear to ear.
Can’t believe that no one (other than this article) has talked about retrospective action and the issue if Saints go down by 1 or 2 points.
Because it isn’t possible under current rules. They brought in the retrospective action on diving for penalties this season but there is nothing about deliberate handball. I absolutely agree there should be, and maybe Saints should sue the FA if those 2 points cost us relegation.
Having had time to reflect on it, I don’t actually blame Roger East as much as I blame the lack of support from technology. If the ref didn’t see it, he couldn’t give it, so the technology to allow him to see things like that needs to be put in place. And yes, retrospective action on cheating of any kind.
Hopefully KD will emphise to MP2 that without doubt that this time ALL the usual suspects have to be nullified, so as well as Mr Record Breaker, please lets not have the usual goals from him, Alli or Eriksson. Dig out the DVD from the win at W.H.L a few season's back, and see how that was achieved. Might go some of the way towards at least one point .
Same boat, 16 days so far into dry Jan and football is the only thing making it difficult. Is it cheating if you do dry Jan, but exclude football days?
