I think @BobbyD means Firmino had all the opponents "on a rope" and could pull them around wherever he wants
10 goals each (morata and firmino). For a side that create so many chances (which firmino helps to do), he's scored as many as morata, lukaku and rooney.
Totally different players being asked to do a totally different job. All I know is that we're extremely happy with Firmino, are your fans the same with Morata? I'd take Costa given the choice every time personally.
referring to the league, if you include the cups then even Michy Batshuayi and Danny Ings are world beaters. Over past 3 seasons, he's got 10 goals, 11 goals and he's on 10 at the moment (his best so far). Fits you guys perfectly but his finishing is so hot and cold. Either scores the sublime or misses the easy ones. You are free to think what you like though
I haven't said you guys aren't happy with Firms. His finishing is ropey like Salahs. If you don't agree fair enough. Costa is arguably the better player. I'm happy to have an off year as i think Morata is the future. Costa was too much baggage on and off the field. Not sure our system is helping morata and he's gone off the boil, probably because he's never played a full season before. I can understand why the club offloaded him and tbh he's in a much happier place back at Madrid
How many does ings have then? You want to make out Firmino is ****e you carry on lol. Torres used to score worldies (for us anyway ) but he would miss sitters same as any other striker you care to name.
Fair enough, pundits made a good point about the Christmas period being crazily busy where he'd normally be taking 2 weeks off. Probably hit him like a ton of bricks. Missing 3 one on ones against Arsenal in the league the other week was criminal though!
haha yea, that was absolutely shocking. It happens though (sturridge famously did it for us in a match can't remember against who, now he is a natural finisher) but he has been missing quite a few sitters with his feet recently. I haven't said he is ****, i said his finishing was ropey. No need to be #rattled. Most strikers do miss some sitters but Firms is hot and cold with his finishing but you don't have him in the side for his deadly finishing (there will be another point as in the past where there is a call for a deadly striker who can finish because thats not firms key strength).
Dunno first, VVD, then Lemar, now you're trying to hawk out this marlon that no one had heard of until arsenal were interested
The problem is that you cannot judge him on just goals scored (where I do believe that he is not as clinical as, say, Costa). Klopp doesn't play a true #9, he plays more of a fulse 9 with him dropping deep, intercepting, pulling defenders out of position allowing for space for the wider plays to run into. To compare him with other strikers, you have to compare all relative stats. Personally, I wouldn't swap him for anyone else in the league with the exception of Kane who is very clinical and does the work or Sanchez, but he's a tad expensive for us.....the others don't do it all. Morata - well just look at his finishing, its woeful and he looks a bit powder puff Aguero - can be sublime but goes missing, just like yesterday Lukaku - just Nope Personally, I'd be looking to buy another Brazilian to keep the man company because he is going to be very hard to replace.....and I think That Klopp know it....
its true, salah has ropey finishing. He gets many chances because of his attributes though so more than makes up for it. Better to have a player who can get 5 chances and bag 2 than a slow lumbering stand around in the box clinical striker who can only finish 1 in 2
