Peruvian used to post on here from time to time and lived in Peru engaged in humanitarian aid.

Hope you're ok Paul and not caught up in the earthquake. Keep safe.

Hi folks, just wanted to thank you all for your concern, it means a lot. The epicentre was a few hundred miles away from the capital Lima where we now live. There has sadly been some loss of life in rural areas in the south of Peru nearer the epicentre, but grateful that it wasn’t so much worse. I haven’t logged into here for ages, but Ian kindly sent a message via fb.

RTID, apologies for not being in touch when we were over in the UK recently, was very busy with family and other visits. I did however manage to take Mrs P to Loftus Rd on New Year’s Day, her first visit to hq, her first time at any footie game in the UK. After our understandably nervous start it turned into a great game all the more for the young NIrish lad on debut, the mrs is from NI, although she does now have dual citizenship as she’s married to a Peruvian. I joked with her that since she’s seen them live we haven’t dropped a point.

Anyway, thanks again lads, you’ve encouraged me to look in here more often and maybe contribute the odd post again, especially closer to the World Cup. Fortunately Peru can’t face England before the semis and that ain’t going to happen! A group of France, Denmark and Australia will be very tricky. Peru just happy to be there, the day after Peru best NZ in the play off was declared a public holiday!

Thanks again, come on you Rssssssssssss
