I liked, and like both managers, and dont think either should be referred to as muppets, our small squad and debilitating injury list has not helped either, but if I had to choose between them I would go for Coleman. His approach to the job so far has been faultless and I think he has more authority than Simon because of his pedigree. Have we improved ? our longer term prospects have in my opinion.

Aye scored for fun and conceded more than we scored. 1 win in god knows and 0 clean sheets. Have we got worse since? I thought we'd won 3 and managed a few clean sheets. Apologies for my confusion that winning more and keeping more clean sheets is better than losing but scoring loads of goals. What an idiot I am

Nowt wrong with either manager. We fans never learn. Always target and focus on the dugout. Nowt wrong with Grayson, nowt wrong Coleman. Look at Moyes at westham, there was nowt wrong with him. Not saying they're world beaters but these managers can't/couldn't fix the club and never could so never would. Only the owner can do it and he doesn't know what he's doing.

Just a bit fun for a dull Sunday Bri. I did think Graysons 3-3's etc were entertaining though. Its all gone a bit dull and the table doesn't lie. Cookies took us to the bottom..

Sorry Marra, but have difficulty with this. We are a depleted side and have some players that have not stepped up to the plate. We do though have a manager with a passion and a sense of indignant anger that we are in this position, which is not how Grayson dealt with it. I believe it will change, we will pull out of this tail-spin but it might take a bit more time.; ground approaching, cool head and pull up. I KTF and FTM

So you really think we wouldn’t be bottom with Grayson? Since Coleman joined our points per game has increased massively. So as everyone else’s unfortunately for him

    Grayson win % of 16.7

    Coleman win % of 27.3

Both crap because their players are crap but the figures speak for themselves. I'm pretty sure Coleman has had significantly worse injuries to contend with too.

3 wins in 10. Can't blame Coleman for other teams picking up results. But he doing better than Grayson. Tables don't lie but they can deceive. Result don't lie either and out improvement is pretty clear mate. To me entertainment is luxury. At present the priority is points. That's undeniably improved. Though I do think both managers are adequate with the investment the playing squad needs.

There are five teams separated by three points at the bottom, this is not by any means a hopeless situation, we need to out perform three of them, with Coleman at the helm we can do it. With Shorts backing we would do it in a canter .

Thats the $64 question, he may yet surprise us, it would definitely be in his interests to do so, 10m spent now could be a shrewd investment.

Totally out of order ! little general, and yes we will stay up there are 3 teams worse than us, Mcgeady needs to get cracking again first, and start Asaro.

I like that it wasn't the 64 million dollar question but one you amended for Short, it is merely a 64 dollar question. He wouldn't actually stretch to that figure though.

I've been positive most of the season but now am verging towards a feeling that both Newcastle and Sunderland will fail to buy any players this window, play poor football for the rest of the season and then get relegated. Anything better than the above would be a welcome surprise (and yes I do care more about Newcastle staying up but if we go down and you guys stay up then at least both teams will meet next year and the Championship isn't the worst place to be really).
