Exactly!! Pardew has openly said he is free to talk to who he likes as he is listed on a free. Its up to him what he wants to do!!

  2. He's been left out of the game at Scunthorpe like i'm sure others will. <doh>

We're not gonna play a full strength team vs Scunthorpe man...

Pardew said he'd be available for Sunday.

Dont see why he would go to QPR, they'd never pay him 60k p/w and he said he would only consider leaving for CL football. Was linked with Everton and publicly rejected them on twitter.

Ignoring the utter BS coming out of SSN, do you think Barton begin to struggle to stay in the team unless he finds his form? It's only 2 games in but on current form I'm not sure he'd even make it into our fully fit midfield once the new signings bed in.

He has a slight foot injury, so he's being rested <ok>

  7. I only see him leaving for a massive wage increase. 80/90k a week which i don't see them paying. QPR could get relegated and i'm sure Barton doesn't want relegation on his CV.

Yes he is, but he's also a good player. Can't say I'd be devastated if he leaves though.

Why? Barton's luggage is a liability I wish you'd only had posted 35 posts. Stop flaming someone with a different opinion you miserable ****.

I think Joey will go, if he's offerd a contract on good wages, why would he turn it down??
It's a risk for him to stay with us for 1 more year. If he got a big injury in that time then he may never find another club! I'm sure his future will be on his mind!

If he goes, does anyone think we will replace him?? Cause if we don't I think we may be in trouble!

    <facepalm> Really..people aren't allowed their own opinions?

I think..and hope he will stay, unless as said QPR double his wages and give him a long term contract.

Don't see why he'd sign a long term contract at a club that are quite likely to be relegated, when he could just wait until the end of the season and move to a more stable club. Still, he could.

He has his opinion, like it or not... No need to give him abuse, 7000 odd posts does not make you better than him.

Because QPR are in for a massive struggle this season and likely to be relegated. Not to mention, the wages wont be massively higher than they are now.

  14. It's stupid to suggest getting rid of Barton. We don't even know if Cabaye can truly fill his spot, and by the looks of it he's got excellent ability but it's going to take time for him to get used to the pace.

We need to keep Barton until Cabaye has proven he can fill his shoes.

Random thought here, Barton claimed to love us and was committed, yet rejected a contract extension we offered him. Yet we off the same extension to Shola (because of the similar age) yet he accepts. Both love the club and both are committed. Something doesn't seem right.

Too good to let go but why would you play for a club that has made it clear that they don't want you? Hope he stays but would not blame him for jumping ship.
