It depends where you stand Wooly on being decent..ethical and fair. I don't think most were too enamoured with bailing out the bank's while certain senior members of those institutions were living lavish life styles often through sharp practice and ripping off Jo public. Next time you see the smug twat on tv have a little think about how he was able to amass his small fortune and who suffered as a result...

What is the reason Douvan is still declared for the Champion Chase Boston?

Look the man is a great trainer..no question but I don't like this little game he plays and it impacts on the build up to the festival. Imagine if he would of trained Kauto Star and Denman we would have all been 2nd guessing whether they would line up against each other until the very last moment which impacts on the build up and sense of anticipation of mouth watering clashes.

The problem we have here is you're misinformed/unaware of recent comments by Willie Mullins saying Douvan has shown a lot more than they anticipated and that he still has a chance to run at Cheltenham.

So now you know the real reason. All info freely available to anyone who cared over Christmas.

Your question was why is he still left in. You couldn't be arsed to do any research on it yourself. You have your answer. You don't like the answer. What a surprise.

I'm still struggling to understand why you have such a problem with this. You say you don't bet ante post so the only way it impacts you is your ability to anticipate great clashes at Cheltenham. Correct?

But then you post some diatribe about Rich Richie having no morals and try to belittle Wooly for saying he's able to put the Financial Crisis to one side when he considers whether he likes Rich Richie or not.

From what you've written on here it appears to me that you're really bothered about Willie because you hate Rich Richie because he's a banker. So if that's the case just say that and stop beating around the bush. It's ****ing boring having to read through these posts.

I would have thought Boston had you found my posts boring you wouldn't be replying.

You are a right Mr know it all aren't you. No one likes one of those.. but at the end of the day everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I wasn't belittling Wooly just giving my opinion. Your assumption is wrong concerning my views and i am not surprised you cant understand it. Everyone is different .

Just because something does not affect you personally does not mean you can't have a strong opinion. Yes I don't bet ante post as a rule but the way they do things doesn't sit comfortably with me and plenty before me have commented on this. The war in Syria doesn't affect me personally or homeless people on the streets but hey i might have an opinion on it..i dont expect you to underdstand.

Wind your neck in Pops. We could all pull out losing antepost bets for everyone but no one other than you felt the need to so... You’ve obviously done your brains in laying Mullins horses at Cheltenham down the years with this axe to grind but that’s your problem. It’s a forum where we put up our fancies, most people accept they don’t all win, only people like you and Boris seem to wish to stir ****e by quoting them. Grow up lad.

Possibly. The fear would be though that yesterday’s 10 length romp will exclude him from the heat. His first run in the Isle (yesterday) was off 137 and you would have to wonder if he will be raised more than the 8 lbs that would instantly rule him out – unless, of course, he subsequently was given a ‘quiet’ run and then given a handicap reduction, in the process, that would make him eligible for a 0-145 again! However, as the Lieutenant plays with the straightest bat in racing I can’t see that being likely.

Has to be considered borderline, right now, as to whether the assessor will put him up beyond the 145 cut-off point.

Could go almost anywhere at the Festival with quotes, including, 20’s NRNB available for the JLT and 14’s NRNB for the RSA. Both these races, by the way, are quite simply bonkers from an ante-post perspective with seemingly loads of connections mulling over going for the Stayers Hurdle instead for a multitude of reasons, e.g. their animal can’t jump fences properly, the Stayers is worth far more money, the staying hurdle division is, in the main, deemed very weak right now, etc.

You'd have to be impressed by Getabird at Punchestown today. A general 4/1 for the Supreme seems fair as I can't see much coming out of the woodwork between now and March 13th. My only worry would be one of the 4YOs coming here instead of the Triumph but given Willie's record in the event I would think 4/1 at this stage is worth a dabble as I can see him going off maybe 7/4 on the day.

Nail on the head stuff Oddy. Whether you like his chance or not doesn't matter because you can lay it off at the time with almost certainty.

The Irish are going to go nuts for Getabird in the same way they'll go absolutely mental for Samcro in the Ballymore.

If Ricci was to win the Supreme again with Getabird wouldn't that be four out of the last six years he's won it?! Boris/Pops be definitely taking the old razor blade along the wrists should that happen <doh>

Thought he was a Neptune animal myself but after today, the gears he showed, this looks like a Ruby special from the front a la Vautour. Loads of pace and he stays too, I thought he was a certainty for the bumper last year, seems he may very well do the biz this year instead.

Waiting Patiently looked fantastic today too. Surely he's a Ryanair horse. Could be an belting race, you've got himself, UDS, Min and dare I say Yorkhill?!

I havent given any thought to the Supreme yet, doing flat research currently, but the 2 mile novices have looked very average this season and Getabird is a Getaway mudlark.

If The Cap Fits has looked one of the best prospects and hes the obvious value at 10/1 but there could be something lurking in a year like this.

Who knows...your guess is as good as mine...maybe Yorkhill will be touted for another race soon? :emoticon-0142-happy

I take what that operation say with a pinch of salt. My view is Douvan was never gonna be running and so that leaves Yorkhill..Min or Great Field
as mullins's entry(s) for this. None of this will become any clearer of course until the very last moment.

Terrefort has been Walloped with a capital ‘W’ for his 10 length romp last week and put up a stone by the handicapper – now on 151. He certainly won’t be going for the 0-145 novices handicap chase at the Festival. Not even the Lieutenant with his brilliant brain and his 'magic hands' can get a 151 rated beast into a 0-145 contest! If he heads to the meet at all I’m guessing it would be for either the JLT or RSA.

William Henry got a 6 lb increase and is now on exactly the same perch – albeit over hurdles.

Mr P Wise has this morn put Yorkhill up for the ‘Champion Chase’ – 1 pt win @ 6/1. Bit of movement but that price is still available in a place or two at the time of writing.
