If you are trying to show everyone how massively wrong I was back then well done, take a bow. If your'e trying show 'Me' how wrong I was, well that's very different because I could have told you that myself and I have on done here, many times. I'm really not that guy who recoils in horror at the very thought of being wrong. In fact I learn that way, it's quicker
If it was 2 weeks before the Forest game they must have been celebrating the 6-0 win against Workington.
Unfortunately the first paragraph displays a level of understanding of how these things work akin to that of Geraghty. The KC development cost £40 million so he should have offered £50 million? The stadium part of it cost £30 million. However thinking a football stadium increases in value because property has is living in fantasy land. The Richo Arena cost £113 million. It is newer than the KC, has a 7,000 larger capacity, includes a 6,000 conference hall, a hotel and a casino. Wasps bought it for £20 million. Sipuggesting Allam should have offered £50 million for the KC is hilarious.
I was at the Millwall game when we won 1 0 with a crowd of over 40k, think it was Christmas 65/6 - my dad put me over the fence so I sat on the gravel between the fence and the pitch - most kids were sat there I was in the corner between bunkers and kempton- 24 hours later we were playing at Millwall and lost 3 0 - cant remember anyone moaning about too much football then or the players couldn't cope
I’ve been to a glitzy event at the Ricoh and it ****s all over ours in that respect. Think our stadium actually cost £26.4m from memory.
There as well. I remember a request for everyone to breathe in and move closer together as another train was arriving. And the last record played as they came out was Keep On Running by Spencer Davis Group, who I later saw the night England won the World Cup. Great times to be a 15/16 year old.
That picture of Terry Heath scoring has been used plenty of times. Mick Brown did ok for himself didn't he? I'd only been going a year then. I was lucky to see those times. Great days.
It was my first ever game - went with my mother who was a Nottingham lass from a family of staunch Forest support; I wasn't deemed old enough until the following season to make the trek from Holderness Rd to BP.
That was the full project including arena, improvements to West Park, Londesborough St crossing etc. I wrote the council’s book about the project
It wasn’t for sale from memory, think it was just given to stakeholders etc. I’ve got about a dozen in my wardrobe
Same here - also, the replay coincided with our annual staff versus school football match and we were all expected to attend. Fortunately we were able to escape in small groups to join the queues and meet up in the South Stand (Bunkers) where it was a really tight squeeze but we had a great view of Chris Simpkin's goal.
I was on day release from work taking an accountancy course, and we pestered the tutor to let us off early so we could get to the ground in time. As he was a City fan also, he didn't take much persuasion. I got a great view of Simpkins goal also, I was half way up the standing area, level with the right hand goal post.
