http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/69/t...-president-refuses-to-rule-out-leandro-damiao The Brazilian goalscorer is a wanted man in Europe and the club's president has refused to guarantee his stay, with Porto believed to be monitoring the situation Internacional president Giovanni Luigi has refused to rule out the possibility of the club parting ways with striker Leandro Damaio. The Brazil international has caught the eyes of several clubs in Europe after establishing himself as one of the best attackers players in the country, having so far scored eight goals in 16 appearances in the league. Tottenham has been mooted as an interested party, but Porto has now reportedly emerged as frontrunners in the race for the 22-year-old's signature as it looks for a replacement for Radamel Falcao. And while Luigi stated the club has no interest in selling Damiao, it appears that an interesting offer may be just too good to pass up. "We will see, we are going to wait. Right now, there is nothing about Damiao. We want him to stay, but I do not want to make a firm statement about this," he told Radio Gaucha. "I have not been listening to offers for any of our players, because they are really focused on Wednesday's match." Brazilian sources suggest that Internacional is willing to accept a 20 million euro offer for Damiao, who has scored 32 goals in all competitions this season. --------------- If he goes to Porto without us even making a proper bid I will be pissed.
Doesn't that just mean that if we match the bid of another team, Internacional must accept our bid too and then the player decides where to go?
That is what I thought also. Sounds to me as if they are prepared to sell to us, but want a higher fee and have negotiated the new contract to obtain it. Wasn't it 12m before?
yeah, that's what i thought. still, what does that mean nowadays? they aren't worth the paper they are written on. get on with it Levy...
With Levy's lack of urgency in recent transfer windows, I can't see it happening. All fluff and no intent.
I know what it means on Football Manager... Clubs promote each other in their respective countries, therefore increasing awareness of them in the other country. Which ever club is regarded as the 'Parent Club' gets first pick of their youngsters, as well as sharing scouting knowledge with each other. Sometimes loans are involved with the parent club paying all the wages but I don't think this has ever been the case with Internacional. Bit like the Man Utd - Antwerp thing I guess.
We did offer 12mil,but then he signed a new contract. So i would think we have to up the ante, but why was levy in America?
Mmm, I wonder what fee, I know its the Fail but somehow they're saying the delay is a sell on clause RM want, for knocking down the asking price, seems fair, but you can just imagine Levy with this!...get on with it man...we need him to boot Silva up in the air on Sunday! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...pt-Emmanuel-Adebayor-says-Harry-Redknapp.html
