Quote from Bruce after tonights Game

Over the next few weeks these new signings are going to find out what its like playing for this club and in front of our fans.

Is he saying we'll be on their backs? You're having a laugh Brucie mate. If anyone's to blame it's you...

This after blaming the forwards:mad: (he bought) and has shown no faith in. He's lost the plot. IF he loses the next two he has to go. He's ****ing things up big style! Normally I'd say he needs time but this is only going one way folks!

I'm talking serious now; Bruce has snipes at the fans all the time! You just have to be able to spot them. No joke, that.

    Pretty much sounds like it!

Can't see what else he could mean.

Our fans were booing Elmo tonight. I won't hold that against Bruce, he's entitled to a dig there.

He's bitter as **** because he's had a lot of flack which he vehemently believes he doesn't deserve. It's written all over his face.

Bruce, you do deserve a huge portion of the flack you've taken!

So he reckons the new players will find out what it's like playing in front of these fans , does he ?

I hope he includes the forwards in that.

Not so very long ago booing the lazy ****ers off made them buck up their ideas for the next match and they would be cheered off even if we lost. We are renowned for loving triers when they gave their all for the shirt.
But they were professional footballers not the present day football mercenaries.
If they get booed off let them cry all the way to the bank FFS!

I think that's unfair, they're not all on Messi wages, many of them have to subsist on 20K a week.

To right, if they are ****e let them know,

If they don't like it or can't buck up their ideas, let them get a real job.

Bruce is also included in this statement.

If you travelled to Brighton and watched certain players play like that then I would say you have a right to criticise those players, after all they can retreat to their mansions and have a nice ly-in in the morning and still get their pay cheque for thousands of pounds whereas as us mere mortals have work at stupid o'clock in the morning and all we are working for is to pay the bills and maybe have some left over to go to the match at the weekend.

We need a response against Swansea, C'mon lads show us your true colours!

I think this may have been taken out of context, is he not saying the new signings will find out what its like playing in front of the most passionate and loud fans in the league ?
I think he's bigging us up not the other way round.

I've been pretty anti-bruce these last 12 hours or so but to slate him for this is (IMO) silly - he is telling the players that we will get on their back but not having a go at us for it (I don't think) - more heeding a warning to the players that it will happen (Like sess siz saus said - now there's a mouthful!!)

    Of course your rite.
I really can't begin to understand what's going on up there.
One week ago Bruce was doing a fine job after Liverpool and his seemingly successful transfer dealings. Now everything he says, does is looked on as him being disrespectful to our club.
Looking at it from afar it seems Bruce is very close to losing the fans completely.

I heard Adrian Durham on talkSHITE last night saying that your fans were booing Connor Wickham as well (on Saturday) - I must say I didn't hear this and came as a bit of a surprise to me considering he was only on the pitch for a short while. Is there anything in this or is he just talking bollocks as usual? I heard a bit of booing but that was just frustration at the result I imagine, not targetting any individual.

Bruce does have to answer his critics, and we are the critics because we pay good money to watch the team play. What I can't understand is him insisting on playing 451 when we have two strikers that need games and they are sat on our bench. Ye, Brighton are a canny side and there is no shame in losing this game. What is doing my head in is the fact that he plays a system with a midfield play maker at the point of the attack. There is no logic to it and I'm still shaking my head trying to work it all out.

Testing times for Bruce now and the pressure he's under is all his own doing.

I find it incredible that he did not use this opportunity to play Whickham and Dong. Virtually every other Premiership manager uses the early rounds of this competition as a means of giving young prospects a chance to start for the 1st team.

I could understand it better if he had played the same 11 that started on Saturday, saying that they needed more game time to gel, but like a lot of you have already said, to field a team with no recognised striker and leaving these guys on the bench beggars belief.

I wonder what Short is thinking about all this.

I would say most of us were content going into the season but we all knew we needed someone on the left and another striker....do we get paid millions...no....easy to be an armchair manager I know. However looking at last nights selection, he has clearly bought players without a thought about where he is going to play them....Larrson right winger bought to play there now trawling down the left to no affect. Sess bought as a left winger now playing the loan striker up front, Richardson converted from a decent midfielder to a poor left back. He doesn't know where to play Vaughan, he's bought two young strikers, knowing he has one senior striker at the club and now seems unprepared to trust them. He is slagging his own players after three games into the season (2 games in a row now) he looks doomed to me.
