Evening Gents. Missed the game today freezing my nuts off watching my son play football in the county cup, have sky so could have tuned in but reading on here it seems I swerved a stinker. Very disappointing, need to keep a winning momentum going as we can se what happens when you develop a losing habit. From what I've read, I'm surmising that our 2nd string squad players are also totally 2nd rate and Saiz is in for a lengthy ban.
Unlike some of my illustrious colleagues on here, I'm more interested in top 6 so wasn't too bothered about going out in the 3rd round, this year at least. Derby & Villa, also out, so gives us no excuse to be distracted. Main issue was Saiz - 90th minute, no video evidence, no discussion by Dean, hope it gets overturned. Davy, i completely understand your point of view, in the grand scheme of things this isn't the most important of results but from what I'm reading I am concerned about the quality of our squad players when inevitably we get injuries and suspensions. Hopefully just an off day from them. As Arsenal showed you can't just throw 11 players together and expect them to perform against a team that plays together week in week out, even if they are lower league. Maybe the 2nd string would play better with more 1st team players in the side.
You say that LOL but, unlike Sutton last year, that was 13 players, including subs that you could consider “first team”. All the nonsense about the likes of Klich well and truly dispelled after that garbage. I would say Berardi, Shaughnessy (other than the own goal) and maybe Cooper wouldn’t be embarrassed tonight but that really is about it. (Lonergan didn’t actually do anything wrong but we already know we need better).
Marcos, agree it is a concern on the quality of the 'squad' players that why I'm hoping (really hoping) that too many changes affected how they played. If not we're in real trouble if / when injuries hit. I caveat that with the fact I haven't seen the game so basing my opinion on what you've all written on this thread so I accept I could be wide of the mark.

Exactly, the stupid thing was in playing a weakened side we risked a replay and more congestion so in a panic he put Saiz on and the rest is history. We should have just went our usual formation and rested maybe Pontus, Hernandez and Saiz. Alioski hardly gets 90 minutes so he doesn’t need a rest, we could have played Lasogga on his own up front, no problem with Klich alongside Phillips, instead we had a dysfunctional 4-4-2 which might as well have been 4-4-0 If ever Thomas even puts BJ on the bench not alone starting I’ll call for him to be sacked too, the worst performance in a Leeds shirt for a long time, Barrow and Grimes were better and that’s saying something
Davy yes he can do what he wants with the money, but the example I gave was that he spent £20m of his own money buying back ER. He has around that in cash from Taylor, Bridcutt and Wood with more to come after Rose gets sold. Chippy will say that cash has gone to buy ER therefore he gets the ground for no outlay. i say he shows his intentions for the club buy what he does with that cash. Doc, you say that, doesn't make it fact. He may have a plan for the club which has a different timeframe or agenda from yours. Guess what? They'll be going with his, he owns the place.
