Busy day today so haven't had the chance to watch the team but just wanted to quickly pop on and say Super Jan
Hate listening to games on the radio and he's far from 'polished' but Andy Reid was a very balanced pundit!
Not impressed at all by the way the game was played (according to the radio commentary) . Nothing learnt AGAIN either from the season OR the Spanners game it seems, manager and players.
Paulinho scores again for Barca, 7 for the season now. Obviously helps having Messi to provide for you.
On my way back from the game. Will write a bit more later but for now suffice it to say that the game totally changed when Llorente went off and Kane pushed further forward. The Spaniard was sadly woeful.
Today we played 3 holding midfielders against Wimbledon. It's getting stupid. GKN may not be a Top 6 player but he should be able to get on the pitch to start against Wimbledon in the cup. Llorente's performance today made Raziak look like Jurgen Klinsmann. In that first half, I'm struggling to remember a more static and dull performance. It's like we picked all of our slowest players and told them to pass backwards and sideways only. Glad we won. I'll support us no matter what but that was very, very poor in the first half. Please Mr Pochettino, no more of that ****, eh?
Well that was job done, but my goodness that first goal was a long time coming. Before then we shivered in the arctic conditions and were getting frustrated with the totally inept Lorente, the shocking quality of the crosses into the box, the poor quality again of the corners and the tedious obsession of passing it sideways or backwards. Thankfully, Pochettino soon dispensed with Lorente and Harry put the game to bed and sent the 10 men behind the ball Wimbledon back to where their tactics deserved, out of the competition. And thankfully, Wembley was a doddle to get away from afterwards. COYS
