I put a lot of the blame at Hughes door alongside the indulgent owner(s), having avoided relegation there was a great opportunity to establish us a Prem team & instead between them they bought in wrong players, had an imbalanced & disunited squad that led to relegation & the subsequent years of misery & where we current are. So tonight despite another embarrassing cup exit I feel some justice has been served & going to enjoy a beer or two
Why did you think we needed another Mark Hughes thread? The other one has been running since December the 15th. I never had you down as needy bran flake. I'll undo it if it means so much to you.
I meant Hughes, not you. The whole Hughes story is boring, our taking refuge from our own inadequacies in his demise is dull. I'm losing interest in football. Individuals being sold for outrageous sums of money, players diving for pathetic unfair advantages, persistent disappointment, even for being 5th best in England, accepting we need to re-build, then calling for heads to roll because we're 17th. I prefer snooker.
Agree. Hughes was a disaster for us but he's done all right at Stoke for 4 years. Bad run, and he's sacked again. Nothing new here.
Confess to be slightly worried that he is "available" again. I mean the club has done a few potty things in recent times, and I've never seen things so bad as they have been the last few years, regardless of the brief promotion back to the Premier League.
“He was a terrible manager. Awful!” @Joey7Barton gives Alan and @adrianjclarke his thoughts on Mark Hughes...
