I saw the 4/1 on MK thought it was too good, was thinking of ten or twenty on them, but didn't when I saw our team. Thought we'd have enough to win that no problem
Dreadful result. Big lunky MK team who scored from QPR error. Until then we looked more likely to score imo. They are league 1 for a reason! Smith lost most of the headers and those he won were wayward. No cohesiveness today. All a bit off the pace and after their goal it was one of those games rhat we huffed and puffed and would not score in a month of Sundays. As predicted by some Smyth did not match up to the hype but then nobody did. Not sure if Scowen thought Ned was there or trying to pass back to Smithies. Disappointing but forgiven in my book as important for us in the Championship. Not sure how Olly is going to take rhis one on the chin. Their fans won the singing.
They’ve been turning that corner slowly for some time FR. This is not only disappointing, its frankly farcical and embarrassing (and heaven knows we’ve had some terrible results ie Northwich Victoria)
Was wondering that myself. I will do it for them. Ian: if we had scored first, if that chance had gone in, just lacking that bit of luck blah blah blah Tony: keep the faith. Heading in right direction. Training ground blah blah blah
Things that are very unlikely to happen: Winning the jackpot in the national lottery. Seeing the Loch Ness Monster Seeing a UFO. QPR winning a FA cup game.
I suppose if we were to desperately clutch at some straws we could say the match stats were all for us and they did score via an individual error. All in all bitterly disappointing, next week is massive.
They were seen leaving the ground wearing these; please log in to view this image Disclaimer: I actually am not anti Holloway or Fernandes but I saw this photo and felt it was worth sharing.
''Ousseynou Cisse capitalised on a 'comedy of errors' on the hour mark to send MK Dons into the fourth round, as the R's - despite dominating possession - lost 1-0 at Loftus Road. “It’s a hoodoo for us in the FA Cup – but you can’t make mistakes like we’ve done today," said Holloway. “We shot ourselves in the foot. The level of performance wasn’t anywhere near where I expected it to be. “It wasn’t good enough – nowhere near. The intensity wasn’t there. There was a lack of communication throughout our performance. “The effort was there – but the performance was disappointing. “It’s about setting standards day in, day out, but today wasn’t good enough.” Ollie added: “To be fair, we’ve gifted them the goal. The lad (Cisse) stuck it in the back of the net well enough – but it was basically a comedy of errors. “We should have put ourselves in front before that, and the referee definitely should have given a penalty in the first half. “But well done to MK Dons. I picked largely the same team, giving only Massimo [Luongo] a rest because I wanted us to build some momentum. But that’s backfired on me today. “Unfortunately, we’re out of the cup.”
Didn’t actually think we were that bad second half at all. Created a few good chances but a combination of poor finishing and lucky goalkeeping kept us out and they took their chance well when it came from Scowen’s ludicrous error. Only gutting thing really is it was to that mob who will never be an acceptable football club. Did enjoy seeing two youths being thrown out onto South Africa Road at twenty to three. Who are all these little ****s supporting Milton ****ing Keynes- cringeworthy.
