BBC football expert provides thoughts on Bristol City and gives prediction for FA Cup game against Watford Bristol City will be looking to bounce back from defeats to Aston Villa and Wolves in the Championship when they go to Watford A BBC football expert has predicted a win for Watford against Bristol City in the FA Cup this weekend. The Robins go to Vicarage Road this Saturday to take on the Premier League side – who they have already beaten in the Carabao Cup this term – but City don’t stand much a hope according to Mark Lawrenson. He has touched on City’s poor form – back-to-back Championship defeats to Aston Villa and Wolves – and says the Hornets need some good news after one win in the last seven. In his BBC prediction column, Lawrenson said: ‘I don't see Chelsea, Watford or Arsenal having too much trouble against Norwich, Bristol City or managerless Nottingham Forest, though. ‘Bristol City have beaten four Premier League teams, including Manchester United, on their way to the Carabao Cup semi-finals but they are not in great form at the moment. The Hornets need some good news, and a FA Cup run would help to provide it.’ The Post will have all the pre-match build-up, team news, action and much more from Vicarage Road from 12:15pm on Saturday via our live blog. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/watford-bristol-city-prediction-1014425
I would like a win, a nice scalp to take but the league is far more important to us, a defeat would not hurt our cause that much, we have not done bad so far.
Been there done that with Watford next season (and Stoke, Palarse, Man U etc). So this is one occasion when I actually don't care about the FA Cup. Let's get some recovery time for the senior players and give a decent account of ourselves in Manchester on Tuesday instead.
I want out, then I want two three quality players to arrive and a real go at promotion. Club needs to grasp this chance, never been a better time.
