This is unfortunately true. Beggars can't be choosers. Bella Emberg is probably a better **** than none at all. That said, I'd rather have a ****.
The way things are we can't afford to be picky about who signs, so I would reluctantly accept his return. Well if it has to be
Think we can be picky enough given his wages are sky high. We could get a 3 players on for his 40k wage and there's more than ex players available. Not only do I not want him back, it would be bad business imo even if the mags paid some of his wages.
You’re overlooking the fact that Colback is a bang average play sideways footballer, who wouldn’t improve the team or take us forward in any way. The fact he ****ed off and is a ****ing knobhead is irrelevant, he simply wouldn’t positively impact on the team. As I’ve always said, he’s tidy enough. Tidy isn’t what we need.
I highly doubt we're even interested. Need a bit more than Newcastle's media partner and a word of mouth rumour that we're in for him. He doesn't even fit the criteria Coleman has publicly stated he wants. Saying he only wants young players who want to play here(which would fit a cheap wage category) then going for a 28 year old ex player on a huge wage who left because he didn't want to play for us would make Coleman look a bit of a knacker. It would be a bigger contradiction than anything Moyes ever said. Nah, I don't buy we're interested in him at all. I'd very surprised.
I wouldnt. I also honestly believe he would be yet another player who would develop non existent injuries cos they havent got the balls to fight for the club. F*ck him.
Colback being linked reeks of the lazy journalism every club has to put up with where their available ex players are constantly linked. Like the rumour about Kone going to West Ham just because Mr Happy is there.
I don't see him signing for us. Why would he? After all the **** that was thrown each way. He'll have seen all of it and know about all of it. He knows that he's cut his lines forever. He'll never play for us again so let's not get too agitated at the thought of it happening.
Last season, when in a very good team by championship standards, he was synonymous with us throwing away points. He used to get subbed on in tight games and immediately they became less tight... He's got the knack of looking half decent but not actually doing anything. He isn't reliable enough to be a tenacious tackling DM, he offers almost nothing going forward and he only passes sideways and/or backwards. In amongst a star studded team he could do a role as he didn't tend to lose possession too much but I can't see him being one of the better players in pretty much any team. He isn't better than 3-4 CM's you currently have.
It would be tantamount to a kick in the teeth for us supporters after he bad mouthed us - we do not want that "ginger Pirlo" anywhere near the SOL
