It's very limited and probably old news, DPP. Remember everyone in the media is trying to look like they know more than the next guy, when the business is being finalised in a quiet and controlled way. A guess here is that, if the news is accurate, the companies house registration is potentially set up to offer the vehicle for transfer funding. It's a fund management company, right?
My read is it is Ashley simply saying put your money where your mouth is and either pay me or get lost. For me it's Ashley just gambling again to try and put the pressure on PCP to hurry up and buy the Club before it gets into bigger bother and on his terms. Our recent uplift in form, relatively speaking, has probably enabled him to try this.
The night is black Without a moon The air is thick and still The vigilantes gather on The lonely torch lit hill Features distorted in the flickering light The faces are twisted and grotesque Silent and stern in the sweltering night The mob moves like demons possessed...
Here's something else for ya; when Villa were taken over it took around a year in total. Interestingly, however, a holding company was set up on 12/5, takeover announced on Friday 18/5 and completed 14/6. Keep the faith this week. 5/1/18. Seismic. 6/1/18. Celebratory.
Although at some point I hope to get my life back, just read the Sports Direct, via MASH, have released a filing to buy back shares. This basically effects one bloke, Mr. Mike Ashley. and means he has some money to spend. Wonder where he's just got that from? Shares a bit low after poor results, him with cash from somewhere.... This, in the same week as Ms. Staveley opened her 'nothing-to-do-with-NUFC' financial company.
Or maybe not as this type of thing is quite common.... No take over... This way I keep my mind intact and not rifle through the Internet searching for any crumb of hope that it might just happen.
More clarity from the same guy who broke the Cantervale detail.... http://tombenbow.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/sports-direct-ltd-next-chapter-in.html?m=1
Too many people are pinning their hopes on this random law student. Ashley will still be our owner on the 1st Feb.
This student seems to be using hard facts to build an argument. The press know **** all so I’d say this lad is a more credible source than them. I’m just popping a bottle of Staropramen in the fridge just in case..
There has been very little happen and people are just expecting the deal to be going through any day now. As far as anyone can tell, a deal hasn't been reached yet. I haven't got my hopes up about this.
To be fair to the guy he presents a very explanation of what all of these events could mean. He's not just quoting 'sources' to present an argument.
At my age, and particularly when thinking about what Ashley will come up with, I tend to think without great positivity. Most of the last 10 years' transfer windows have impacted on my hopes and dreams. Sports Direct appear to want to buy back a bunch of their shares, which requires funding. Maybe this will be from the sale of our club. I so much hope that this is the case. But does anyone know how much will be received from Sky in January? £30m perhaps? And there might also be some sales (Ritchie, Mitro, Shelvey and Colback) which drops into the accounts. These players can be replaced with a couple of loans. It might be my cinisism but with this bloke, there simply isn't an ounce of faith. The safety net of him busting his investment by getting relegated again is what I'm clinging to.
