Yep lets hope they pull their fingers out for the League now.. So far been disappointed in every game.
cmon swans FFS!! well done to Shrews if they go on and get the win. The players are obviously not up for this game though which is dissapointing for the large travelling support. Maybe its not a bad thing to get knocked out (if we do ) as our squad is clearly not good enough 1-25 for a full prem season. Bad news for the strikers that needed some goal action to build confidence ,i get the feeling they are being let down by our midfield tonight, but listening to the radio it seems there were chances for us and DG to take that wernt . 3-1 to Shrewsbury !! well played to them and overall well deserved , Swans need to get their asses in gear !! sunderland are gonna love this result , i hope their day off against shrews (sorry shrews im not being dis respectfull ,the team on the field should be beating your lot with ease) concentrates minds against the mackems on saturday !! Good luck to the shrews , i hope you can start to pick up in the league and i hope you have a great season
Not happy with the result, but our priority is the league only , sorry but norwich and qpr thinks the same imo
Simply disgusting. When did our ego's become so inflated that we couldnt give a toss abouta game like this. 3 - 1.... I am ashamed.
Pretty mad isn't it? I can't say I'm a fan of it myself. Play to win every game. No disrespect to the Shrews, but we did clearly pick a lineup which had a few regular first teamers missing. Having, by the sounds of it, been second best to a League Two side is one the one hand, for Shrewsbury, commendable... but from our point of view it's worrying at best, and frightening at worst.
Well Done Shrewsbury the deserved winners!!! What's fricken going on with our team??? - It's like Danny Pintardo there....
We dont have a cats hell of a chance in the premiership and we be very lucky to reach 20pts all season...danny boy my arse...£3.5 million reject..
Cheers to all you Swansea fans, you have been a great bunch in the build up to this game and let's hope you stay up in the Prem this season. You have officially been added to the 'look up and hope they've won' list every saturday evening.
Reminds me of Luke Moore last season. "moore's in... he must score... nooooooooo" Cmon ffs, pull the finger out the lot of you. Can't see Orlandi, Gower, Moore etc getting anywhere near the 1st team at this rate. Rubbish!
I understand the argument that we should be focusing on the league etc... But from the starting line up we put out there, they should be beating Shrews comfortably. It's not a disrespect, but of the 11 starting 7 have played top flight football at some point and 3 played Championship last season. There is NO reason why they shouldn't have won this game.
no need for swans to feel ashamed, this win was always on the cards after the way we disposed of derby county
Buy a striker and two defenders quick brendan before the window closes as we dont look like we can compete with anyone in the premiership....
Fair point atcham jack It has to be said now though, that we've gone three games without one of our players scoring a goal. One of those games was against a team favoured for relegation this year, and one was a League Two team (I say that with all due respect, we've got to believe we're in the Premiership for a reason, right?) so you'd hope we'd have hit the back at least once or twice. Cause for concern? Remains to be seen. I still think Danny Graham will come good though. Ooohhhh Daaaaaannyy Booooooyyyyyy.
Firstly, well done Shrewsbury, fully deserved. Hope you get as easy a passage into the 4th round too!! Worryingly dissapointing!! That team that went out should have had more than enough to see them off (no dissrespect to Shrewsbury). Lets be honest our midfield (exception Allen) should have been busting a gut to prove to Brendan that they'll also have some say in our first Premier league season, all it proved that some of our 'fringe' players are just not good enough when it matters & be lucky to be anywhere near the match day team sheet, no matter starting!! Too many loose balls, no cutting edge, no drive, no creativity. Our strikers had no chance with that lack of support......
