That's a hell of a lot of money to turn down. And for Flint personally it may have made him an instant millionaire from the signing on fee, if he isn't already...
If true, that's a bold statement of intent from City. In the summer, I would've said 'thank you very much', however, now that we are in the mix for promotion, losing him would most likely lower our chances of achieving that and how many more millions could that potentially be worth? I get the impression that Flint is a character who will always give his all on the pitch, regardless of stuff happening off it, however, I also think he's ambitious and is ultimately aiming to move on to a bigger club, on more money. An offer like this might be enough for him to officially submit a transfer request.
Yeah fair play for posting but 100% untrue. It originally came from a tiny Twitter account. That's not to say that there isn't interest in him of course, there probably is.
Thought it was unlikely a) anyone would offer that much , b) we would turn that much down if they did.
