I've seen some suggestions that Vinnie's loan will be terminated as he's not playing any more and there could be takers elsewhere. I hope he finds a level at which he can be successful. Maybe loan out GKN as well, there's just no point in keeping him around any more, he ain't gonna play. Ditto KWP.
A GKN loan's been suggested a few times in recent weeks, although I can't figure out where he'd go - barring some joined-up journalism and thinking that, if we activate the £7m release clause for Maxwel Cornet (aka N'Jie III), we might loan them GKN in return...but that would assume there's honour in the transfer market.
My take on the January window is that if we are going to do any business it will be done early (don’t laugh) but I am actually expecting no more than 1 new arrival. If Victor is ready to return, with Lamela already back in the squad and Toby running and looking on course for his return in February I am not sure where we would add players, unless players leave. The loaning out of KWP & GKN for experience would be good, signing Sessegnon then loaning him back would be fabulous, I would keep Rose until the summer if he wants to go to the WC and get a move in the summer then he will have to play well and he looked better in the last match. Barkley is one player who appears to interest us so we may sign him but that looks like a deadline day deal to me, and is really a long term signing wouldn’t see him making much impact this year. Would like Another CB maybe an old head to help us in the big matches and a quick striker to use from the bench against parked busses would be good, but who will sell these players in January to a club who won’t pay over the odds?
Please. No more players from Ligue 1. Not unless they play for PSG. The rest are not worth the time or money.
I think we might be buying a few players. Poch sort of hinted that we would buy in this window instead of the summer to get players in and around the squad to get fit and learn his ways to be ready for next season. So I expect 4/5 relatively young players but not necessarily to be playing this season.
Tottenham have been listed as the surprise joint favourites to sign Newcastle United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey in January , according to the latest bookmakers’ odds. Bet Victor have priced Spurs at 6/1 to land the 25-year-old in the current transfer window, while Premier League rivals Everton are also given the same value.
I will personally give Levy a slap if we buy another donkey from those mo fos. .Sissoko for enough compensation for Waddle and Gascoigne
Mrs Plug says Shelvey is too ugly to play for Spurs. She would like the entire team to be David Ginola lookalikes.
Yeah, I'm sure Pochettino was well impressed with him when he picked up a straight red against us in the opening fixture. It was 0-0 at the time and we went on to win 2-0, so he's already gained us a couple of points this season.
If only Rose had the decency to "speak his mind" earlier than mid-August, I think he'd already be in a Spurs shirt. As it is, my gut feeling is that United will move for him. If they do, our only chance is that we showed faith in him before he was a name, we give youngsters a real chance to develop, and Mourinho is a pillock.
Random Bundesliga Player Watch Since it's been almost a week since the last one, now we're being linked with Hannover centre back Salif Sane (aka the younger brother of Lamine) who by complete coincidence is having one hell of a season so far, almost as if his agent is wondering if his client is trying to get his client a move further up the Bundesliga food chain - a suspicion confirmed by this article which says how well he's doing at Hannover by constantly banging on about Bayern. On the subject of Bayern, Jupp Heynkes has stated Bayern won't be signing any new players this winter. So I guess we should move quickly to steal Goretzka from under their noses then...
January could be very interesting, as there’s rumours surfacing that rose could be out for another lengthy period after suffering a setback with his knee injury. Rumoured plans to buy Sessegnon and loan him back may have to change if this injury to rose is true, and not forgetting that as a result, the demand for rose from potential suitors in January might drop.
However if buying and loaning back for the remainder f the season is our only option, I would take it. He's a superstar in the making if we get our hands on him
Totally. But it potentially leaves us in a very precarious position at LB. Although, there’s talk that Poch sees RS as a winger, so maybe we’ll look to someone else as well? (Doubt it’ll be in January though)
