I don't see us as down. There's a long way to go and there's several teams that are just as poor. Newcastle, Stoke, Southampton, West Brom, Bournemouth. There's 6 points between last and 13th. Still all to play for.

    Just got back.

The biggest takeaway for me tonight is how much Clement emasculated the team under his tenure.

If we had played like this earlier in the season we would have beaten Brighton, Newcastle and Watford at home.

Whilst it's true that we are only 6pts from 13th, how many points adrift will we be at the end of January if we don't get at least 4pts from the games against Newcastle, Liverpool & Arsenal?

We are not down and out yet that's for sure......Top teams like Spurs,Liverpool, Arsenal and the rest you have to expect they will be far too good for us at home or away because we have got rid of our quality players in the last couple of seasons and they are full of quality, So i'm not expecting any points off the top sides....It is the rest of the also rans who i think under our new manager we can get points, If Clement was still here i would say we were dead and buried but with carvo i think we have a better chance especially if he can bring in a couple of players during the transfer window.......Still plenty of winnable games to go yet...KTF

Apart from the first 20-25 minutes the game was very even.
We hit the woodwork, brights saves and created a couple of chances that we should perhaps have done better with.
But, another game wher the officials cost us the game, 'Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal has revealed that the assistant referee apologised to him for not ruling out Fernando Llorente’s opening goal in his side’s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Liberty Stadium, as Mauricio Pochettino also admitted that he took Davinson Sanchez off to avoid a second yellow card.'

    positives
despite many injuries we competed and played well
changed tactics and formation made a difference
players got stuck into the job
Va dear Hoorn, Dyer, Mawson & Sanches played well
Carlos got stuck into the ref at the end of the game

    The is hope.

Well the Lino cocked-up with Llorente's goal and Madley ****-out of sending off their centre-back. If that had been Mawson, Fernandez or VDH, they'd have seen red.

Additionally, why didn't he book Alli and Son for diving? Rumour is Spurs are looking to sign Tom Daley to help perfect their diving technique ......

How long before they start to clamp down on that cheating cvnt Alli, he really is a piece of work. Why then does the horrible cvnt get such luck with the goal, makes me spew.
Bobby Madeley what a tosser to, these incompetent refs give the big clubs so much.

I came away from the Liberty so gutted, not because of the performance of our boys, but because I felt cheated. We should have got a point from that.
However, we can’t start matches like we did for most of the 1st half, it’s not acceptable, whoever we’re playing. I actually blame the tactics of the manager, he set them up that way. But once we woke up & started to be brave, credit to the team, as we battled well. Even better when we had to ditch the back 3, for a flat back 4. Just a pity we didn’t get the point we possibly deserved. At least I feel there’s a little more belief & hope...

Anyone else notice the 'piped' chants/songs over the PA System this evening?

What's that all about? Another import from the Yanks?

Didn't notice but I'd welcome anything to get the crowd going. There's only noise as a reaction against something ... Jenkins, owners, officials, cheating bas*****.

If it was, it didn't work!

That said, the piped crowd noise happened on a few occasions.

I can imagine jinx with a remote button to turn up the racket from the speakers to try drowning out the protest chants against him while they remain smallish in numbers atm ! But eventually more will join in and he will be shamed out of our seats ! But that will take a huge ammount of effort to shift the shameless flower !

I prefer him to Naughton but neither are good enough. Rangel should have retired 2-3 years ago.

On the improvements we've seen in the last few days I think we could get points against both.
We were only a rent a ref away from a deserved draw last night.

I said numerous times on here he was far too negative, and clueless in any attacking ability, it's why I wanted him gone back in october, still the school teacher is history now, better late than never I suppose...........<ok>

I can't argue but he's 35 years old possibly half a stone or even more overweight and was panting after 15 minutes , the guys' legs have gone which is no disgrace but what is disgraceful is the fact that a decent replacement hasn't been bought since Laudrup's tenure

Fully agree. A new RB is a must this window and not that player from Barnsley either.

Saying that, I'd give Tyler Reid a go at Wolves.
