Shout Woolly - pissed it. The second, Lamb or Cod, ran his best race for ages and might be coming back into a bit of form (finally).
Happy New Year all May you have plenty of winners and may all horses & jockeys come home safe and sound
Just a wee thought; after viewing the last two races from Cheltenham in particular the performances of the Nigel Twiston-Davies runners could this not give a clue to the poor performance of Bristol De Mai in the King George VI Chase at Kempton. Experience over the past thirty years or so has suggested to me that most if not all trainers have 'hot' spells however my recollection is that the N T-D stable is prone to this pattern more than most. Just musing as I review my 'scattergun' punts in the Cheltenham Gold Cup where we are now down to only three main 'trials' (I use this term advisedly) before the 16th March. I am prepared to be shot down in flames for my possibly poor memory and even more poorly researched point of view. Just noticed that my comment above could be rendered void should one or both of Nigel's run well in the 2.00 at Cheltenham!
'It's the exception that proves the rule' and all that sh*t! There was more than enough room for a quick and unsubtle reverse in my initial comment!
Sir Chauvelin finally gets me my first winner of 2018 Hope it's not my last! Although in the next Lovenormoney has the word "neither" missing from it's name! Too late now though
I like AGRAPART who won the race last year. The RP says it was a weaker race last year but I really cannot have that.
