    2nd corner, ended up with Vaughn shooting over the bar from 20 yards after good leap by gardner. Vaughn playing well by sounds of it, must start next game

    hahahahahahahahahahaha after i thought his team selections couldn't get any worse!!! im listening on 5 live and we still cant finish our chances and it sounds like bruce is getting more frustrated with us not getting on the end of our crosses and its not like brighton havent had their own chances.

    at least he hasnt decided to swithc colback to left back ......yet!!

    what i cant understand is the fact that o'shea was 50/50 for the derby but aint getting a half today but should be ready for saturday according to bruce.....so it seems bruce hasnt learned owt from his injury crisis last season!!!

    I've watched us get turned over 5-1 to the mags. Drop from 6th at Christmas into a relegation fight. Go on losing streaks in two consecutive seasons and I've never once said Bruce out...but this game is certainly throwing the idea into my head...anybody got O'Neill's number?

    What's the betting we go one down with 10 minutes to go and he sends on a defender.

    It seems Bruce is taking this whole 'Sess as a striker' thing very seriously by actually turning Sessegnon into an official striker.

    What baffles me the most out of everything is that he brought the two young inexperienced lads Dong-won and Wickhham on during a fierce losing derby in-front of 40,000 mackems, but he's benched them in a second round Carling Cup game. <doh>

    Im sorry but O'Neil is not the answer. He would haemorrhage money even more so than Bruce can be accused of. He spent an absolute fortune at Villa, on not a lot, and put loads of players on crazy wages.
    Not to mention he has turned us down in the past, and the constant idea that he is a Sunderland fan has never really been confirmed, just more of a fan myth.

    We are playing some good stuff apparently but the final ball/cross is falling to Brighton, BECAUSE WE HAVE NO EFFING STRIKERS ON THE EFFING PITCH.

    It seems once he gets an idea in his head, you can be sure as **** he wont make a u-turn on it. I said recently he has an annoying habit of treating flukey coincidences as tactical brilliance. Ill cite the 2 examples;

    1. Last season we were playing Wigan, Gyan gets injured, we now have no fit strikers on the field and go on to score 3 goals. Bruce mentions in his post match interview how well this worked out and that it is an option for the future should need be. Obviously he uses this tactical "masterplan" in the following games to Wolves and Fulham, in which we lose both, conceding 3 goals each time.

    2. This season, Larsson gets played out of position on the left, scores a cracker against Liverpool, so lo and behold who turns up left wing the next week against Newcastle? Yep its Larsson where his crossing ability is completely wasted and he accomplishes...Well not much at all.

    Have to say on recent showings, Im not overly optimistic this season, and a solid 12th or above finish would delight me if things keep going the way they are.
