    I see it as the hierarchy at the club need him to build bridges that have formed between the players and the coaching staff.
    They need him to align with Pellegrino et al and him being very popular with the players this will make less easy for the dissenters to voice an opinion.

    I always saw that role as a made up job to keep him at the club until he was ready for something else.

    Are you sure? From the evidence of FF, he should be sacked for taking a very expensive player in great form and within a couple of seasons turn him into a complete jibber ing wreck of a keeper

    I just remember how highly regarded and rated he was when he joined, and he was the Head of England Goalkeeping at one point. You don't get to that position if your ****ing useless, as far as I'm concerned!

    I think our moronic fans have more to do with making him a jibbering wreck of a keeper than Dave Watson.

    Is this dropping of Fraser to give him additional coaching? Or to rest an old injury? It would be interesting to know. Cricketers are often removed from the front-line and given net practice. Could that be what is going on here?
