not thought as far ahead as the Irish Champion but yes, if he's in there it will show it's been discussed at least. I'd prefer him to go down the QMCC route or take the safer option of JLT but from a spectacle perspective Altior could do with some more competition.
You mean the Ryanair Bob? JLT is the novice race which he won in 2017. I'd think if Willie was toying with the idea of rerouting either Min or Yorkhill to the Champion Hurdle he'd want to run them in the Irish Champion as a prep. I agree Altior needs more competition, such a shame that we won't see him take on Douvan this season, or maybe ever? Footpad looks very professional and could in theory go QMCC but apart from that it is hard to think of anything that could get near Altior (assuming he is none the worse for his wind op). Maybe they should try and resurrect Buveur D'Air's chase career?
Strange few days of results in Ireland for sure. Never seen so many fallers, was the sun still an issue at that last hurdle, I think it might have been? Wouldn't be seeing it as too worrying for Mullins myself, on his bad day he still gets four winners Seem to recall lads creaming their pants after 2 days of this years Fez for the same thing...6 wins later and but for Ireland's second finest he'd a still been top trainer Relax lads, relax
I have seen my friend today and he said that SAM RED is out again next Saturday, going for a long drive down to Wincanton.
