In truth you have a first class player in VVD. Thats why we wanted him in the first place. Trouble is though his personality is such that he is a sulker so he will need to be handled with kid gloves.............
It’s interesting how much of a lift selling VVD has given us lot. Nothing like playing FM17 with some money. Slogging on with MP2 worries me though. Here’s what will happen. The lift allows us to creak out a creditable draw with United and squeeze a nervy win against Palace. People relax a bit about MP2 as the 4 points helps. We then buy a couple of players which papers over the cracks, before the season resets to drudgery and we peter out to 15th position, Walcott is injured and we’re about 7 places behind where the squad should be. Everyone then realises, we should really have replaced MP2 at the end of December.
If anything is going to happen to mopo2 it is likely to be in the break. If it doesn't happen then he will be here till the end of the season.............
I would probably take all of that, if offered it to be honest. I just honestly think with MP2 in charge, we are very likely to go down, and that's why I really want him gone now.
So, if we bring Theo back and loan Sturridge, would they automatically become the highest scorers, in the current squad at SMS, based on previous history? Before they have started a game, that is. I have seen that Moyes wants Joe Allen from Stoke. I think he is the aggressive little fecker type we could do with, especially when we are struggling.
If we are looking at a loan striker option from Liverpool, would rather have Ings for the season. Dembele is a no brainer and if the Brighton deal is not concluded, we should be all over this.
I would hope so, because we would really be in the doo doo if the board want to change a manager close to season's end.
All total conjecture of course, but ss things stand at the moment, I'd be quite happy with that outcome (apart from Walcott getting injured). After finishing 15th, the club can then decide the manager's future, having given him a full season. Alternatively, we could sack him next week with no replacement lined up, and see what that gets us.
Or we could already be speaking to managers so won't sack him without having someone ready to step in.
