    What a pity!

I thought he could have made a good improvised striker.

Now we will never know! :)

Who knows what has gone on in that lads head, I was over the moon when he joined, but total waste of talent. He will probably end up back at Cardiff. Just hope he has done the right thing and we aren't paying up till the end of his contract.

That's a great result. Hopefully we can use the wages we've saved on getting someone in who knows where the goal is.

    I'm disappointed....
    1) The fact he left us without ever proving he was an £8 mill (plus including wages)
    2) the fact that I would think that when he joined, a hell of a lot of us thought we were investing in a quality player - a centre back that we could potentially build a team around
    3) QPR have wasted a money in a player that just hasn't performed (probably won't be the last)
As much as I would like to see him get his head sorted and have a career he can be proud of, I only hope he plays like a donkey should we ever face him. The one club I think he should go to is Burnley - and the only reason is Sean Dyche. I believe that he has the ability to get something out of a player that appears to have had a car crash of a career so far.

I am really sorry for the lad. He obviously had the potential to be really good, but he had real deamons in his head. HE IS STILL ONLY 25!

I have to say the people I blame are the people in our club who did not do due diligiance when they paid out the money. He was signed by Arry, when Phil Beard was CEO (before the time of Lee Hoos and SLF).... Beard and Harry (bloody) Redknapp are to blame for this situation (and a few other major hiccups too)

Of course we are why else would he go? Nobody wanted to take him for nothing, can’t see that changing unless he doesn’t mind not earning much.

Is that the last of Redknapp’s waste of space signings?

Lack of due diligence done on the guy. Dread to think how much money was wasted in total.

I have no sympathy for the guy. Nothing wrong with him that he couldn’t pick up a huge wage each week. He even had the audacity to spin a few stories along the way to string us along.

No sympathy at all. Demons? What demons? He took every last penny he could get and could not be bothered to make any effort. If he does manage a miraculous cure, the Club should sue him for every last penny he has received because it will prove that he is nothing more than a con man.

There is precedent of course with Palace. Twice. Namely Dowie and Pulis

Whilst I am disappointed, I am not prepared to have a dig at his mental health issues whether it be a self inflicted addiction. Clarke Carlisle is someone that if you looked at his intelligence and all his natural abilities (and I thought that when he signed along with Darren Peacock) we had a spine in the back 4 we had not seen for quite a while - you would not have noticed his hidden disability, however he also had demons. Not every disability is visible.
Maybe moving away from London and a big city / town will help clear his mind and give him the strength to sort himself out.
I do agree with Beth that the due diligiance and checking into the players back ground was not as thorough as perhaps it maybe should have been.

Any footballer that waste his talent for whatever reason is very sad, he was very highly rated, I thought he would have a bright future, I know Cardiff was over the moon when they got him, maybe in 2 years time he will come back, but more likely to end up at lower leagues, I'm sure Liverpool has him on Loan 2 years ago, and played for England

No sympathy at all. £8 million + in wages over his contract and he's been a complete turkey. He had several opportunities to move on but insisted on silly wages that scuppered the deals, the Moscow move was a perfect example. No doubt a c*nt of an agent 'working?' on his behalf and as 'Arry never stopped telling us 'TF had his pants pulled down' and 'Arry gleefully continued it. I'd guess they've probably offered him a percentage of his last six months.

Anyone feeling sorry for him needs to look at just how calculating he has been dragging this out to screw just about every last penny he could. good riddance...
