Sometimes short and sweet is more than enough! You nailed it mate! Short has put his millions into the club over the last 10 years or so but you dont get plaudits for that. As any entertainer and backing businessman or manager knows, you're only as good as your last song or film, so all of the millions spent in the first 10 years doesn't count for ****. It's what you do now that counts. And if you didn't realise that by now you shouldn't have been sucker-punched into buying the club in the first place ya schmuck!!! To not spend money in this window trying to support your investment would be insane. A couple of mill' to prevent the club being worth less than a Scottish castle!

Its no more than a rumour at present, evidently Liverpool are ready to match Saints valuation and they turned down something similar last window. I know it is speculation so far but it is being reported widely, could be wide of the mark we will have to see. In any case these transfers are shrouded in mystery with little in the way of transparency from any source. It should be made clearer imo, but they have their reasons, no doubt.
If it's a rumour, Liverpool should deny all knowledge or accept accusations of breaking the rules. If it goes through and all gets signed first thing on jan 1st , surely it means that transfer business has been undertaken before the window - perhaps denying another club from having a chance of showing their interest. (remember that we are looking for a CB) ( hehe). Liverpool should face a charge (yeah like the FA would have a go at one of their darlings).

Its the size of the fee, and the profit made that interests me, for a player we were apparently linked to, well before Southampton stepped in. Wish we could play the market like they do, if only we had had this sort of money coming in, we could well do with it.
