underestimate Brum at our peril, one of the better teams to come Leeds, don't know what's going on with them, but would be very happy to get a 1-0 win.
Got to agree bud. After we scraped home against Brum in our “golden patch” I said to Ben you won’t see many better teams at Elland Road (apart from Leeds) this year. I thought they were very good and would challenge.

Afternoon Peeps I'm in hospital :(. Been suffering from a bad chest infection which has not been getting better since 23rd Dec. Spent last night on nebulizer. Made an appointment first thing this morning with my GP and she called me an ambulance
She called you an ambulance? LL called me a prick the other day and I’ve been poorly since 15th December, man up

First train back from Leeds to London this morning and straight into work today and then working without a day off until next Thursday but can't moan as then I'm off on holiday for a month.

Fixture wise would be happy for Saiz to be rested for next game if we were playing better at the moment. Glad we're picking up points but we need to start picking up performances now in readiness for February/March where as someone pointed out on twitter yesterday we've got a very tough couple of months

FEBRUARY
3: Cardiff City (h) - 15:00

10: Sheffield United (a) - 15:00

17: Bristol City (h) - 15:00

20: Derby County (a) - 19:45

24: Brentford (h) - 15:00

MARCH
3: Middlesbrough (a) - 15:00

6: Wolverhampton (h) - 19:45

10: Reading (a) - 15:00

17: Sheffield Wednesday (h) - 15:00

31: Bolton Wanderers (h) - 15:00

Survive that still in contention then I'll be very pleased.

Not too bothered who goes gets the bench spot for next game from Alisoki, Hernadez, Seabiscuit but I'm still keen to see a game where Seabiscuit is providing crosses for Lasogga
Look at that list and I can’t see more than 30 points, tough run indeed.

Enjoy your month off, sounds awful :emoticon-0148-yes:

Someone mentioned Roofe had only had 26 shots at goal, the reason for that could be plainly seen yesterday. Every time he got on the ball in the box he was swamped out by big centre halfs. He isnt big enough, he needs support or a pass in behind the defender for him to run onto. The club site now have Roofe as a striker which is fair enough as he has scored goals. He will always score against certain defences, but the majority in this league will crowd him out, swamp him, stop him as he isnt able to have his back up against a big defender then spin him and get a shot off.

Roofe and Lassoga stats show both score a goal every 160 minutes, Roofe on 10 goals 2 assists. Lassoga 5 goals and 3 assists.

Lassoga has only played 800 minutes to Roofes 1600 minutes and both have the same number of shots on target 26 & 25

To compare Roofe to the top 5 strikers in the Championship as all have similar minutes on the pitch all of them have double the amount of shots on goal, so obviously able to move defenders around to get a shot off whereas Roofe isnt able to. lassoga remember has only spent half the time on the pitch as Roofe but has the same amount of shots on target so extrapalate having the same amount of time on the pitch as the top 5 strikers he would have exactly the same amount of shots on target as them.

So yes he may look a fat lazy twat but he does his job well compared to the best in the league.

Doc, see post 52 above, and the link attached - accurate goals per minutes ratio for the Championship, and Roofe's up there - minutes on the pitch 1363, PML's not listed.

The top 5 goalscorers in the Championship all have much poorer on-target ratios than Roofe.

Maybe he isn't getting the same service as some other strikers from midfield and the wings? He can clearly move defenders around, and they're scared to touch him round the penalty area, not necessarily his fault he gets fewer shots off.

Roofe clearly has serious potential if we can work out how to maximise it - 65% shots on target, 7 goals from 20 shots in all. If we can make it 40 shots in the next half season, how many goals? Over to you, TC.

More than one way to extrapolate potential from stats Doc.<ok><ok>

As you know, it's been suggested that they may come after Jansson to replace him.

We can't compete with that sort of money.<yikes><yikes>

And if Jansson jumps at the chance it'll be another ex leeds player the fans hate, at the rate we're going there ain't going to be anyone left to like.
You sausage, why would you bring Phillips back when we have a Polish International no-one had heard of six months ago? Phillips has been in the first team for nearly three years now and we haven’t even won the Champions League - depressing.

Totally effing agree Marcus, why would you bring Phillips back with a good Polish international in wings.

Phillips has been in first team for 3 years, and we're still in championship, we still have teams running through our midfield like a knife through butter, or a double decker bus, most games you don't even know he's playing.........you have great insight Marcus, I love it, and you're absolutely 100% correct, why should we bring him back. I reckon everyone should tune in to your insight, it's effing unbelievable.......<applause><applause><applause><applause><applause>

Below is a link for whoscored.com

It goes into a bit more detail reference stats.

You can view other Leeds players stats as well, and compare. Strengths and weaknesses I suppose are debatable depending what angle you see the player from......:emoticon-0148-yes:

I will go along with your pretence of having LL on ignore. He / she called me a prick so I think that is a fair response.

I have him on ignore (he is currently the only one). Very occasionally if he is the last poster on a thread I take a peak at his output.
If does seem a bit harsh of you to put him on ignore for speaking the truth though! :1980_boogie_down:

Just spotted you’re in hospital. It got lost among all the wj glory millions of
Posts. Lousy way to spend a Christmas Matt but get well soon <ok>

Erm I don't think there have been more that 5 posts by either of us since Matt entered ITU.
Don't make us your excuse for ignoring his plight.
