Shearer was a far better all round player than Kane for me. His passing, crossing, hold up ability etc were world class. He had everything. Left foot, right foot, heading, pace (until the injuries), strength, technique, finishing. Everything. Kane is getting better and better though. Not at Shearers level yet but if he stays away from near career ending injuries Shearer had, he could surpass him eventually as he is only 24
Kane right now reminds me of Shearer at Blackburn, i.e. when Shearer was completely unplayable and unstoppable. Much as I loved Shearer with us, he was never the player he was at Blackburn, Kane definitely has the potential to surpass him.
He was better in loads of way with us. Some prob because he had to adapt although he had it all anyway. You’d take the Blackburn version though every time. He was unstoppable. Quite simply the best striker I’ve seen in terms of all round game along with Barca Ronaldo. The thing that sets him apart from others was his ability to score from distance and win headers he shouldn’t. The only thing he never had was tricks like say a Romario or Ronaldo had.
