Have a great Christmas guys and girls enjoy the racing tomorrow along with the winnings (for those betting)
First post, been waiting a while in order to come up with a nailed on first recommendation but they never come so I guess I'll have to do with my usual I think this might do well. I'll be at Huntingdon where I hope to watch the vastly underrated and underused Lucy Alexander win the 2.25 on Strike The Pose 7/1 and set up my double with Eternally Yours 11/2 in the 3.15 at Sedgefield
Welcome , I'm off to Huntingdon tomorrow. Hope you have a few winners but I'm opposing your selection with grageelagh girl. A Rev/fcast looks good. Another of interest is that's the deal in the 3.00.a veteran who's won round here a couple of times off higher marks Cheers
Cheers Totally agree with you about That's the Deal. Over 3 miles his record is good, opposition looks weak and while he's now approaching 14 he's not got that many miles on the clock. He's been nibbled from 25's into 20. (By me as well but I doubt the bookies would pay much attention to my money!) A tricky bank holiday meet with plenty of ways to loose. Bestway in the 1.50 is not unattractive and Six Guns in the last is worth keeping half an eye on but I might struggle to find much I like in some of the other events but I'll sleep on it and hope the inspiration comes. Good luck.
Welcome to the forum 2nd Again. Huntingdon on Boxing Day was a family favourite as I was born and raised not far away. Good memories as my dear ol gran used to give us a fiver for Christmas that we'd give to the bookies on Boxing Day. Occasionally we'd get lucky and take some home with us. In the first race I've had a dabble on the Kim Bailey horse Laval Noir. Won a bumper here in 2016 and then has had 3 runs over timber to get a handicap mark. His first run over timber was in class 2 at Ascot where he ran with credit. Of the finishers that day all are now rated in the 130s. Laval Noir starts of in handicaps tomorrow off 110 with a decent 3lb claimer further easing the burden.10/1. Good luck
That's a good call Chaininbar, certainly looks the horse with the most potential if it chooses to use it tomorrow. I think for me its between this and Lerichi Belle who has run consistently solid speeds even when given poor assistance last time out. Given the fact that I don't like horses who make a habit of never winning (0 of 7 for LB) your comments regarding the ratings post Ascot certainly encourage me in the direction of Laval Noir. Good luck to you all with the flood of races to choose from tomorrow.
2.10 Wetherby - WAKANDA -5/1 Second off 5lb higher last year beaten 7lb by definately red and beat Blacklion by 4l with Yala enke back in 4th his first run of the season this year. Was **** but so was last year and ran superb in this, he loves wetherby the race this year is no way as strong.
Morning all and hope you all enjoyed your day yesterday. I'll leave the King George to the experts - for me it's a no bet race as I think Might Bite wins but is far too short for my money. Quite like Wizard's Bridge in the 2.05 at Wincanton. Made a couple of silly mistakes in his last two outings since winning at fontwell but happy to take a risk. Good luck all.
Got to be Thistlecrack today, 6/1 is a stonking price. Tea for two too big at 25/1 too considering it's fine record at kempton / c&d. Best of luck all
