Sounds like he has played his last game for us already.

I know, was being a bit sarcastic. I’ve not picked him in my starting 11 all season, just didn’t feel he was ready to knuckle down.

Just through i would update this now we are a bit further into the season. will surprise a few people i'd imagine. Its per 90.

Redmond is key to how Pellegrino wants to play i think, the only 'fast' player who can counter and cut inside so he gets quite a few assists just because of the sheer number of chances that fall to him to do so.
The one area that Prowse has improved on this season i think is his one touch passing. he showed this against Huddersfield where he knew just where to flick the ball on to to start an attack. a lot of those are forward which is certainly an improvement on his previous game but mostly that stat has fallen because he just doesn't makes as many passes as the others full stop. He's not managing to get involved as much. although that makes the other stats more impressive.

I didn't include it here but Boufal may be streets ahead of the others at losing the ball, but he also is at winning the ball back.

4-4, just like Boxing Day 1980 at the Lane.

I was there. 2-0 then 2-2 at HT, 4-2 down then 4-4 at FT with Steve Moran equalising at the end and I managed to hug him when he ran in the crowd :)

Life as an 11 year old was so much easier :)

The one thing those stats don’t tell us is the number of consecutive stats.

I’m getting blue in the face, but we have to start Boufal for 6-10’games.

Anyone know how many consecutive starts he has had? He came in and looked out most dangerous player for about three games and then has been in and out since.

Yeah i know what you mean. He comes across better if you include dribbling stats, over twice as many successful dribbles as any other player. Personally i would rather he was played as an AM and just got into the box, we need another player in there who can earn some space to take a shot or get a penalty. Part of the Problem for Boufal is i think that he beats his man on the wing then there's only one person in the box to play the ball to.

Prowse suffers from the same problem over his entire career. Doesn't get a run of games and certainly never gets a run of games in a single position. This season playing RW, RWB, AM and DM for the u23's. I said he was having trouble getting involved, but it doesn't help that he's not being played alongside anyone for more than one game to form any kind of linkup.

Its strange for a manager that came in saying his main aim would be to improve the links between players.

I think it is something we should try long term, It would allow wingbacks to bomb forward, without to much worry.

Everything is ok! We're going to find more space to attack! It all makes sense now, St. Marys is just too small for our players! 0-4!

This is obviously a coded message that the new 60,000 seat stadium is on the drawing board!

Without Alderweireld their rock & with Sanchez & Rose defensively vulnerable it should be a day to push them rather than hoping Spurs do not score. Would be lovely to play a 5-3-2 with Long & Boufal playing ❤️

According to the stats on the BBC preview for this match our last four visits to wembley have resulted in 20 goals.
Last visit was the league cup final, 5 goals, paint pot against Carlisle 5 goals, forest league cup final in 1979, 5 goals. Previous to that was two appearances in 1976, both 1-0, so when did we have the other appearance at wembley after 1976 that brought a five goal match? is there a match I am forgetting?
Or is it another case of carp reporting by the BBC?
