When robson was in his prime around europe he was the ONLY english manager to make the grade. He led PSV to success in holland,(continuing their dominance there) led sporting to 3rd and then was top of table when he taught mourinho important lessons about how to get the sack but bad mouthing your chairman. He then porto to success from a poor positon with mourinho and villa boas on his staff teaching them the skills they employ today. he went to barca and won a copa and the cup winners cup winning europena manager of the year before moving to general manager of barca.

the man was a class act and won titles everywhere he went til he really got a bit older and came home to england. (newcastle)

He did it with calss and left a legacy behind him as he went.

All mourinhos left behind him are messes to be fixed

Guardiola has decided his role is not to build but to deliver results over 3 years and a club needs to builds its own structures itself to sustain. Thats fine as he's gone barca, bayern, city where said structures exist. he's not ripped clubs apart in a power battle like mourinho has.

not so sure about that , as an example if 13/14 BR had led us the the title we would still be squirming and moaning about his interviews / press conferences . Think in cases like that you are pleased you won but don't 100% "love" the manager.

Some like me that didn't actually mind the cringeworthy crap because the football was exciting....bit of a difference though watching a manager play exciting football, not slag off everyone else, just generally be dad type embarrassing as opposed to a nasty piece of work that's default is whinge and boring football.

Maybe would have accepted him when he first came to England...there appeared to be at least a bit of humour with the melodramatics then but now? You've got to admit he's like listening to fingernails down a chalk board. He genuinely sounds like he doesn't enjoy life anymore lol
