Mo Farah a Somali who spends most of his time in US and a drug cheat.
Hamilton a tax exile, mind I wouldnt give a gov most of my hard earned either.
Froome a Kenyan born drug cheat.
    Kane not achieved enough.
Joshua not done a lot as fought once in 2017.

A celebration of drugs cheats and tax avoiders. A BBC's love in of the small number of sports they actually televise these days.

I think people might have had enough of cyclists. Froome's failed test was maybe enough to finally kill off people's faith in the sport. And the media for the most part is full of crap. Joshua and Hamilton are probably the most noted of the athletes, but both are are full of ****.

What impresses me the most about the vote was the people chosen for second and third. For me, the selections of World Superbike champion Jon Rae and Para Olympian Jonnie Peacock better epitomises what the awards should be about.

I think the true winners here are the good people of the UK. Having the sense to turn their backs on the media ponies is most refreshing.

According to The Telegraph, the long odds on shot, Anthony Joshua, "was clearly shocked by his defeat" and quickly did a runner.

That’s a pathetic turnout and shows that we are not really in love with our top sportsmen at the moment

Possibly. With AJ at 1/8 maybe there seemed no point in voting. Sounds familiar
