Away to Chelsea i don't see it working. We have as much chance of scoring 1 goal with them in the team or not, we have a better chance of keeping a clean sheet with only 1 of them in the team.

Boufal does way more defensive work successfully than I think some people realise. Tadic isn’t as good defensively but still gets back. For me, they both can keep the ball well which can help relief pressure after long defensive periods.

I’d happily have both, either side of a striker. Happy if they don’t play too, just making the point and asking the question.

 

Its a good point. I just think that in this game we are going to spend a lot of time without the ball, I would play Boufal because as you say he does work hard and he is very direct which will occupy the Chelsea players, for me Tadic is on the bench as I think he can lose interest pretty quickly if the game isn't going his way, and we can't afford any passengers. (Although he is capable of also putting in a mom performance)

I haven't been on the beers yet this evening but i can see us getting a point in a 1-1 draw (VVD with his final goal from a corner - our only one).....probably will turn that into 2-1 win later....!!

For a trip to Chelsea, we need to be solid and compact - Tadic and Boufal can both be great, or totally ineffective - we can`t afford for them both to be missing at the same time. Playing 3 at the back doesn`t seem to leave room for them both. I didn`t see the Leicester game - what team would you pick ?

 

I rarely pick a team, however I liked he set up against City that night. I asked the question purely out of interest because I put a lot more faith in Boufal’s defensive duties. I don’t think he goes missing in games anymore. Dusan does, but you can have one .. maybe.

We’ll have to wait and see what MP2 does.

 

This evening my lad battered me at FIFA in two games. Really battered me, 7-2 and 6-1. Inthen said we should donChelsea v saints with me being Saints... gulp.

Good news is that we drew 1-1 with Moses getting sent-off. We did it again and we drew 1-1 again.
