If what we've read is to be believed, who would you like the replacement to be ?

Fraser Forster for me, only made the bench once for newcastle so far this season. I heard a few times during pre-season that we might go in for him.

Also says we'll be signing a defender and a striker subject to the Allams ageement.

I think it might be someone experienced or Mannone/Guzan.

Someone on CI was claiming that they're already training with us.

That was tongue in cheek as they referred to Joe Corrigan who is an ex keeper and about 105 years of age!!!

It would have to be someone tried and tested, like has been mentioned another inexperienced keeper wouldn't make sense.

Got to feel a bit sorry for that lad but having a solid keeper is a must and he doesn't look like one at the moment.

For me it's the most important position in the team.

Your keeper has a bad day and you usually get beat. It's as simple as that.

David De Gea on loan from Man Utd. The lad needs a season in the Championship, to learn about the cut and thrust of English football! Over to you Fergie...

He couldn't be any worse than Gulasci, I know Joe was a good keeper but shame it was years ago.

Yes, but he's still better than Gulasci!!

I'd like to see Hannehman come in. Bags of experience and a decent shot stopper.

Not really.I think his injury record would be too much of a concern in any case.Is he fit at the moment ? I don't know the answer to that one.

I might be talking noinsense but after an absolutey amazing start didn't Mannone's form level off a bit ?

I just think we need to bring someone in who's soild rather than spectacular, especially with our young defence.

Mannone is fit at the minute, I don't think his form dipped but he was extremely solid and so was Guzan. Maybe this is why the defence is looking a bit shaky because they have a **** keeper in goal.
