A number of photos and videos are doing the rounds on social media of Charlton players out on the p1ss last night in Newcastle. Konsa, KAG, Aribo and little Lewis Page are prominent. Nobody objects to the players socialising, but given how they pulled the fans pants down yesterday on a huge day for the supporters, it might have been better had the morons kept it off social media. Having seen Konsa’s behaviour last night, I won’t be that sorry if he leaves in January.
Last night in Newcastle? Why have they traveled 300 miles just a few hours after a league match to spend the night on the lash?
Non story here gentlemen. They are all entitled to enjoy themselves and this had been arranged beforehand. The only problem has been it getting splattered over social media.
I think the wider point that the players collectively were pissed on a train 2 hours after a lamentable team performance. Laughing and singing, they looked like they didn’t give a sh1t. Nobody is expecting them to behave like Trappist Monks all weekend, but in the age of social media ..
I'll give you that Mr van Gerwen, but to them it is just a job whereas we have an emotional attachment.
You have got it in one - seeing Konsa behaving like that last night, are we really that worried whether he stays in Jan. it’s just a meal ticket for them.
Thought yesterday’s performance was a disgrace and a firm 2 fingers up to the spirit of 92. Gutless spineless pathetic showing. Then for El Gobbo to say it was a decent honest performance beggars belief for me.
In his head, Konsa has already left. Reeves is a waste of a shirt, but he was only on the pitch for a few minutes. Magennis is badly off form; if he was a horse he'd be lame. Others too have faded, to varying degrees. Kashi, Forster-Caskey, Sarr, Solly... KAG has scored 1 league goal, but that's one more than Leon Best. And Dodoo's single league goal is ancient history. It was good to see Billy Clarke back but how long will it take for him to regain form? For me the only solid improvement in the team over the past month has been Mark Marshall, but the benefit he brings has been far outweighed by the many setbacks. Marshall and Holmes were doing all they could I thought yesterday, but they cannot carry the whole team. The writing is on the wall for our squad this season unless there is investment in January. And we all know that is not going to happen. If Portsmouth beat Bury at home by two goals or more and we lose to Blackburn away, Charlton will be out of the top 6 by 5pm next Saturday. That looks like an even money bet to me right now.
i'm not surprised. have you met him? seen him at poty meals, when you speak to him he's looking past you for a bird or someone he thinks is more worthy of his attention. he's been pulling at the "club legend" strings for so long, people forget there's a L1 player with shot knees in there. he's done well by us, but it's more for his benefit - so he dont have to move house so late in his career and to carry on earning.
