Well it got crap as soon as we got Brian Moore as the commentator and then it was a quick hop, skip and a jump onto Elton Welsby!!!
This is all very well talking about old programmes, indeed I watched an episode of Rainbow from 1973 with my niece on Saturday and was disturbed by the weird version of Bungle, but does anyone know WHY they're denying the interviews?
Yorkie its all very well but I'm an analogue guy living in a digital age! Oh and by the way I would have given Jane one!
I think you had to actually care about the characters to be scared. Thankfully they had no depth to them, so it was simply funny as puck. You'd have to be from Suffolk to buy into the character development.
There was no Rod, Freddie and Jane, no George and no Geoffrey! It was very strange indeed. Anyway JWM, don't think you'd be the first... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKSHNwao3JQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player
It was just a snippet on BBC Look East. Around 22:10 here, if you're interested: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b013qqm7
Hi Canaryrob, saw it whilst watching "Look East" on Monday evening (yes i can get it in Spain), at the end of the 6.30pm news, Stewart White said "We're sorry we could'nt bring you an interview with Paul Lambert, but the club wont let us " or words to that effect. My thread was not meant to be flippant or contrversal, just something i thought interesting. Good luck Saturday, 2 draws, not a bad start.
Well that explains that then. Thought it sounded a bit petty to start with, but on reflection I think the club are right.
I remember seeing the programme Late Kick Off and it was actually Dion Dublin that let the cat out of the bag , and as I remember he was pretty adamant the deal would be concluded within the next 24hrs or so. At the time I thought, I'm not sure the club would be too pleased especially if negotiations were at a delicate stage as it proved when the deal stalled and eventually fell through.
