A little disappointed but overall if you had offered me this before kick off I would have bitten your arm off. We looking a lot better recently, future looks bright.

 

And of course if Arsenal were winning 1-0 against Spurs at Wembley with minutes to go, they wouldn't dream of wasting time.

That's both Pep and Wenger now that have complained about Saints having the audacity to try and see out a game they are winning.

 

Arsene Wenger: "Time wasting is a problem in England and referees have not found the solution yet.

"The answer is the authority of the referees and to put it in the head of the players to respect the game and play. It's become a real problem in the last two seasons.

I know it is mind games but I didn't think that Saints were wasting time as we could have won it on the break and both teams were exhausted with the endeavour.

It is shocking when Southampton counter have a player taken out by a 'professional' foul and then Wenger has the audacity to complain about the slowness of the restart.

 

Although very disappointed by conceding the late goal, I would have taken a point at the start.
A very good alround performance with special mentions for the three youngsters who played very well....JWP, Stephens and PEH (again).
Charlie worked his backside off and looked very dangerous.
Poor miss by Bertrand but I guess that's why he's a full back and not a striker.

Tbf I hate time wasting regardless of who is doing it. Wenger has a point about refs being **** at dealing with it. Didn’t think it was too bad today, compare to the Man City game anyway

 

As I said before, if Arsenal were winning 1-0 in a big game with minutes to go, they wouldn't dream of time wasting.

 

Bertrand put in a real shift and I think his shot was lacklustre from his exertions!

So many good performances.

 

I've not seen Wenger's time wasting comments, but if so, that is bollocks.

Wenger is the master of excuses to deflect from explaining why his teams fail to deliver.

This was nothing like the City game which was obvious.

He does seem to have got his game together recently after many months of "can't be assed". Anyone would think that there is a transfer window coming up

 

Haven't seen any of the game, well played lads and we have hoedt, Davis, boufal, lemina and gabbi all pretty fresh for the midweek game.

Wenger's just using the old Mourinho trick of saying something slightly controversial to the press after a poor(ish) result to distract attention away from his team's performance. Nothing to get annoyed about.

 

Pierre has been the main man in our best 2 performances this season, not including City as that was a park the bus effort. It is a hard choice for the manager, but Pierre has earned his spot and the team looks better when he plays. The players seem to be responding and the manager now has some hard choices to make
