    06 Aug 2011 Burnley v Watford D 2-2 League Championship

    03 Dec 2013 Burnley v Watford D 0-0 League Championship
    26 Sep 2016 Burnley v Watford L 2-0 Premier League

    Team News
Nothing new to report on the Watford front with Kaboul, Success, Britos, Hughes, Chalobah, Okaka and Cathcart out at least for the short term. Prödl is still finding his match form and it would seem that the likely match day squad will be the same again.

Burnley have lost Robbie Brady for the season, joining first choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton on the long term injury list.... not that the rather miserly Burnley have missed him that much with Nick Pope proving an able deputy.

    The Officials
    Referee: Lee Probert
Assistant Refs: Simon Beck and Andy Garratt
    Fourth Official: Andre Marriner

This is the second time we've seen Mr Probert this season, last time out being our 2-0 win at Southampton. Just don't mention Angella.....

    Fez Sez
Always a tricky fixture, a proper football stadium in a part of the world that's seen better times. I've been there thrice, current aggregate score is 10-1 to the home team, so.....

Sean Dyche will have his team set up and well drilled, their best side for some time and with former Hornet Jack Cork in the midfield. They have been difficult to beat but they appear, thus far, to be missing Andre Gray in the scoring stakes more than we are benefiting - that's not to start any arguments about his work rate and he brings a dynamic that other players feed off but is having a hard time overall living up to the price tag.

Prediction? Andre Gray to prove a point, and grab all three: 2-0 to Watford.

Wherever you are in the world.... Enjoy the Game!

Not a great record at Burnley but good time to change that.

Win by 0-4 or more and we'd leapfrog Burnley but given they have conceded 12 all season I see that as highly unlikely. Even impossible. If that did happen we'd be in 7th and top of the pile below the "big" 6.

A win a Dyche's Turf Moor would be very impressive and I'd take a point now. They've done amazingly well this season taking into account the $$ they've spent. That just shows how good S.D. is in my opinion.

Leicester have Newcastle away and are on our tails, with 6 points from the last two games.

Ours should be a very tough game.

Not sure we will see the same on Saturday!

Cheeky comment from the Pointless presenter Fulham fan here:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42228035

All I can say is enjoy mid-table in the Championship whilst we're both lording it in the top 8 of the Premier league

Are our fancy dan import millionaires ready for a battle in the frozen north? Tights and gloves all round I think.

I am sure they will be fine..

Afterall it was cold for the Man U and Spurs game plus I doubt it was too hot in Newcastle.

From the BBC site on the match preview page:

"With Dyche now five years into a remarkable reign at Turf Moor, Burnley must be eternally grateful to the Pozzos for their lack of judgement

They might be grateful but doubt the Pozzos are that bothered now...the media make more it than Dyche does.

If I remember rightly, Dyche made it known he wouldn't have worked under their system anyway - so, lack of judgement??

The owners would never have picked an English manager at that time with 15 or so loan players coming in they had to understand the manager and i have trouble with Dyche on a bad day

    Winter arriving early, hey?

    I'd die in that now!

Wonder what the wonder winger will make of it. Although, I have been impressed with his toughness so far.

Carrillo has asked for a hot water bottle to put up his shirt or he will only play for 10 minutes. :emoticon-0100-smile

Lima can't get a bit fresh in the winter but maybe Lisbon can, he'll be ok.

It's been here for a week or so now - rural schools up here have had two snow days since last Thursday - and it has been feckin' cold...

The colder the better for Burnley when they play southern, East Anglian teams...I hope the weather is awful when we host Spurs on Dec 23.

The wonder winger I was on about is our top scorer, going by assists topping it, and he's probably never seen snow!!
