Good spot Rudey and he also won the bumper on this card in 2014. Shame I've already gone against him with the Tom Lacey runner! Good luck.
I'll be doing a reverse forecast with Jester Jet, also later on old boy Venetian Lad might deliver with a late finish!
Morning, morning. How’s everyone on the campest forum in the Isle?!? Good, good. Real nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more… one running today. The old boy is having his 3rd run over hurdles and is out solely to get a perch. Not to win (I won’t name the animal, as the approach probably isn’t entirely ethical, but I’m sure my regular readers can guess). Once this is achieved next time out, it will be a handicap, and the biggest bet of the year. The above may upset the old ‘racing purists’ (remember them?!?) and those who think every horse, in every race, is giving 100% but today, troops, its no bet whereas next time in a handicap it’s a ‘punting pants’ job. You follow?!? Good, good. Good luck all.
Interesting that Gordy Elliot is sending a sand rat over in 12.50 at Southwell 9/4 .Making all weather debut with Fanning on board but form looks patchy so happy to watch that one play out. Gavin Cromwell also sending two raiders over in last two races.
Hi Guys, local lads all go to Southwell today for Call Out Loud in the 1:50, currently 11/2, good result last time, up in class but owner remains v positive.
Hey Heisenberg ... I am turbo cycling in my garage with talkSPORT playing ... did they just read a tweet of yours out. Re the outgoing Chelsea director of football ??
Don' know what is the worst, turbo trainer or talks port radio, on balance it would be the radio chatter.....
We have a new catering company in the company canteen who is causing no small amount of turmoil with the workers. Prices up, service level down (particularly in terms of quantity - some of the portions they dish out wouldn't fill a small child). Today I chose some sort of Indonesian dish with (very little) beef, mango, beans, sesame and salad. 3/10 - not enough flavour and just not enough. I can see productivity levels going through the floor at this rate. I'm sure there are covert "time and motion" studies being carried out ............... Fortunately one of the ladies in the office has brought a "Stollen" with her - the German (traditionally Dresden) equivalent of Christmas cake made with lots of butter and dried fruits. Yummy and scrumptious
2.10 Plumpton A 2 horse race? Just the kind of race I like. Fingers crossed, then, that the opening hurdles race for The Major last week was as bad as it gets and it can now translate flat form into a good display over hurdles, especially given the 40/1 available.
Stollen is the best. My daughter has just come back from Cologne Christmas market. She said she had bought me something I would like. At that point my mouth was watering at the thought of a stollen to myself. How wrong could I be. "Here you go dad. Here's some German cheese. .I didn't want the stollen to go off, so I shared it with my fiends on the coach back!" Christmas is now well and truly cancelled for one 14 year old girl
Lovely, lovely, lovely. Finished down the field and therefore an agreeable perching should be unveiled early next week (maybe by a minor Royal in a ceremony attended by local dignitaries). Get ready to open the vault for this one’s handicap hurdles debut next time. I’m not exaggerating when I say it will be ‘the bet of the year’…
