So tommorow we face Bury in the Carling Cup, so what do people think the team should be. Kasper Schmeichel is suspended but we have appealed against the ban, Sven doesnt think we will win the appeal and with him only missing Bury I dont see the point appealing. Do people want to see us go full strength and get some confidence going or give the back up players a chance.Ex Bury player David Nugent and Darius Vassell both have knocks and might not be risked Anyway this is the team i would play Weale Peltier St. Ledger Mills Berner/Ball Johnson King Oakley Dyer Waghorn Schlupp
If Howard is still here I would plonk him up front instead of Waghorn. Other than that I think you're spot on.
weale peltier st ledger Ball Berner Abe Oakley Johnson (perfect for fitness) Schlupp Howard Waghorn (waghorn wide right- out of position but just needs minutes!!) id play that- if we lose so what!!
Smith Peltier St Ledger Mills Ball Abe Johnson Oakley Dyer Schlupp Waghorn Subs - Weale Berner King Gallagher Howard
any team really, but schlupp and waghorn, johnson and howard must be the first names on it for fitness.
I'd go for that - main players I want to see are Schlupp, Ball and Johnson. If we use it to give some of the more established squad players a run too, then so be it. I wouldn't want us to lose though, would be nice for another Man City occasion in a future round.
Kasper Schmeichel is suspended but we have appealed against the ban, Sven doesnt think we will win the appeal ======================================================== What makes you think he has appealed the ban, that would be pure madness!
Think he's telling porkies. Two yellows, both deserved, why would he waste his time......unless theres a blond bit with large breasts taking the dispute calls. (in my experience, they always sound better than they look on the phone)
Ignoring History's comment as laughable, in seriousness, these things are rarely overturned. If we appeal, that could mean the suspension won't happen until a league match, which would be more damaging. And might his punishment be increased?
It can If the FA think he deserves a bigger ban We are appealing that the ref didnt issue the first yellow card correctly because he didnt show it to Kaspers face and he didnt know about it. If the FA believe us the first yellow card will be scraped and the ban will be overturned. Thats why Sven dont think we will win because if they scrap the yellow they are basically admitting their ref dont know the rules
You boys sound a little scared of Bury......wait till you get a load of us. It won't matter who's picking the ball out the back of the net.
Probably agree - No point wasting time with Howard - I'm sure he'll be shipped out (maybe on loan at first) when the new striker comes in.
Happy with that, although playing a similar team that played on Saturday might help with the all important "gelling" (to use an old cliche) Sven won't risk that though
