I actually think he's right.

It felt like a Derby at St Marys last season.

 

I think the Bournemouth supporters see it much more of a derby than we do, got quite a few Bournemouth supporting mates and they really don't like us. At all.
Which is strange as they've bought me a ticket in the home end on Sunday.
Got to make sure I'm not too hungover Sunday morning...

Not quite a proper derby for me....losing to them would feel like a particularly bad blow (= derby) but I don't mind them winning against anyone else (= not derby).

Don't tell anyone, but I am quite happy for pompey to win so long as they're a) not playing us, and b) at least one division below us.

Yeah of course it will never compare to the skates for us but the more we play them the more a rivalry will develop.

Already it feels different than playing them the first year they came up.

 

I heard that too, which is the reason why I thought it was being discussed. If he's not injured, then I'm pretty sure everyone would say he plays.

 

I just looked at the report for the last u23 game to see if Pied featured because i don't remember seeing him for a while, but it looks like Valery has defected to Middlesbrough, along with the rest of the u23's. Seriously though Pied didn't feature but featured in the one before that had mostly first team reserves in it so i'd expect to see Pied.

 

Or in League 1, when no one had a clue what they were getting so uppity.

Can you have more than one local derby? I don't want any of the south coast teams (Brighton, Bournemouth and some other team) to be above us and resent it when they are. I do though, quite like to see Brighton and Bournemouth win when they're not in the same league as us, but reserve special distain for Pompey who I don't like to see win anything.

 

I don't really get how Brighton could ever be considered a derby. The South Coast is not a region, it's a geographical entity, so you might as well say Spartak Moscow is a derby, because they are on the same line of latitude as us.
