Good shouts all round. Ings is a stretch but not impossible, Vokes might fancy it given the links to Coleman and he’s a player I like. Not as much a goalscorer as Grabban but a far better player overall. We can get PL players on loan for sure cos despite the **** storm we are a big, Big club and Cookie is very well thought of in the game.
Not only that, PL players are on wages which put overseas teams off which makes sales harder. Loans are often the only way PL teams can create room in their wage budget. That's to our advantage.
Wonder who we go for ? I can't think of anyone in the Premier, we can't risk taking a crock, these lads need to hit the ground running.
Like I say Vokes seems a great option, not getting games ahead of the first choice 2, scored a load in the Championship and trusted by Coleman for Wales. It makes a great deal of sense.
The only one I can think of would be Ben Woodburn the young Welsh lad at Liverpool, Coleman would know if he's up to it.
Aye we’ve been linked but it’s an area we probably don’t need a player. A striker, a CB and a keeper is what we need. I think selling Kone and freeing up 50k week wages is the key to it all for us.
I expect that the targets have already been identified, so I'm hoping that negotiating has already started, but with Bain doing the negotiating we're never going to get in 'early'. It'll be the usual last day of the transfer window to save a months wages.
Agree with The Little General.....get rid of Rodwell ASAP.It will release a lot of wages off our wage-bill for a non-trier!
No it won't, not the way he suggested, it would free up nothing at all. Nobody will pay his wages, best we can do is loan him out paying most of his wages, it would create a small saving temporarily but then there is the problem of finding somebody who'd actually take a chance on him.
I think the best we can hope for with Rodwell is that we can sell him to some money rich chump based on his Everton and City pedigree. No club in England will be interested, not one that could afford him.
We are stuck with him, he's toxic, and thanks to our wonderful miss-management, who also walked away with huge pay-offs, he holds all the cards.
