Watching live here in the US on NBC. The guys are playing great, but with their possession and speed it’s tough to watch. I’d take 0:0 right now..
I could have sworn that for Saints to play well, Davis must play well. Still expecting a defeat, but that was an excellent half.
Think that was the plan. MP told them not to score early as thet’ll only put their back up. Both Wes & Maya deliberately missed.
I think I'll get in there early and say I did. My biggest worry was that the players weren't playing for him but on the evidence of this half and the Everton game I'm going to eat my humble pie.
We’ve had a lot of corners and City are electric when the win it back from our corners. I think we should leave 10 back at corners this half. I’ll feel better. From where I am it’s like the bloody Zulu coming over the hill and I can almost here Michael Caine shouting “shoot at will lads”... but I don’t know which one is will.
Switching between tactics like this was more what i was expecting from what i heard of Pellegrino before he joined. i think we are finally starting to see the true way he plays. Really good first half. Going to get very nervy if it stay like this though.
I now believe that Mario was a Junior World Ballet Champion. That boy can pirouette k a six pence (and when he’s in his arse on the floor). Long way to go.
No, I would. But there's a long way to go till new year and longer still till we finish 7th and win a cup final (presumably that would save his ass).
He's totally without confidence. Won't shoot, wont run with the ball. Cant pass it that well in the first place. Basically, what you said.
I was starting to think their plan was give us corners (Otamendi) and then kill us on the break. They gave that up pretty quick though didnt they. I bet Austin would have buried one of those chances. Or two.
