So why isn’t he playing, seeing as he was the only player who tried to offer something different in our last game? We need more like him. The “usual” players who we often see start are playing so frequently that other clubs are planning their training around stopping them. It’s no coincidence that we’re seeing the same thing in every game. The catastrophic counter attacks have been completed mitigated, even by the “minnows” of the premier league.

I was negative in victory because of the manner of the victory, it wasn't right and all I was trying to do was to prepare my fellow Spurs supporters. I was being realistic about our form and now it seems our form wasn't good. But I'm still hopeful of a turnaround in our season.

Rose has little to do with it. Weve lost the best CB in the league to injury. No Wanyama all season. Alli is too busy shagging his bird to perform on the pitch and Kane can’t carry the team forever. We need options of which we have very few.

My biggest gripe is that the players talk a good game in the press...Dier has been doing since Saturday about how we can still catch city...yet deliver nothing on the pitch.
Some should try and remember that while they are bitching about not being paid enough some of us are not getting enough from them when we pay hard earned cash to watch dross...Real Madrid aside this month has been poor beyond belief

Yes but you can’t change your plan depending on that sort of stuff.
Dele Alli has more goals and assists than De Bruyne but gets nothing but stick on here.
Support the team and stop complaining.

Harry Kane aside who's been our best player this season?

    Exactly.

We have a horrible mix of players out of form, players not (re)bedding in, a total lack of pacy wing backs which was so crucial last year and lack of viable attacking alternatives aside from Son. And we've been having to start Son recently giving us zero decent attacking options off the bench (what with Llorente offering so little so far).

    Worrying.

So would I but I wouldn’t want a manager who had that as a strategy...

That's a question for Poch, everyone wanted Son in the XI.

As for the other part, Eriksen and co are just in a poor run of form which is making opposition defences look good. Usually we have the talent to unlock this but we're stuck in a rut right now and it's ****ing infuriating. I don't think we've been found out as you suggested in another post but the likes of Eriksen, Alli, Kane, Dembele etc need to rediscover their top form - and quickly. City don't rotate de bruyne, Silva and co in fear of them being found out, they're just more consistent than our guys, same with Hazard, Sanchez etc.

What a bullsht comment at the end PS.

Complaining doesn't mean you're not supporting the team. I'm a season ticket holder and have been going home games and many away ones regularly for nearly 15 years, I probably "support" the team better than many, yet that doesn't mean I can't be pissed off when players are out of form.

There was nothing wrong with Poch's team selection today. The team whe have out is more than capable of winning this game.

The players have been awful, poor passing, poor decision making.diving in just bad desicions.

Sissoko brings absolutely nothing to this team that any half competent youth team player would not be able to bring to the XI. It's not even like he makes bad decisions, like Rose and others have this evening. He just doesn't take responsibility for making anything happen when he's on the ball. It's unacceptable. Aurier is the same in an attacking sense and frankly I don't feel at all defensively sound when he plays and I can't remember ever feeling comfortable in his defensive ability during his time at the club. I do not see what we gain from playing Aurier over what KWP would bring.

57 minutes late. Sissoko departs. We can't carry him any longer.

Sanchez is probably up there, although there's no denying his form has dropped since The Great Mike Dean Swindle of 2017.

I don’t think the likes of those players of ours you mention are helped by the set up, though. We used to have walker bombing down the right and rose doing the same on the left which stretched the play for those central players to cause problems. It’s incredibly hard to expect them to have the same effect when we’re not helping them. I appreciate Rose has been injured, but Davies doesn’t quite offer the same type of play, and for some reason Trippier and Aurier don’t attempt the runs or get in behind like Walker did. It’s a big problem IMO and is having a massive knock on affect across the pitch.

That foul throw from Aurier was the worst throw in that I've ever seen a professional player do. Incredible.

Fair enough. On average our squad does better than we could expect. We might never be good enough to win the league and I’ve never seen any of them not try. It’s not their fault that other clubs have better players.
I’m in a foul mood too so taking it out on you lot rather than the team. Sorry.
